Border Collies are dogs with wonderful qualities. Known for their herding eye which displays intelligence, these dogs are muscular yet agile, allowing them to be excellent herding dogs. 1. We had our BC for just over 14 years, he was the best dog we ever had and unfortunately he became so disabled that we had to have him put to sleep on 03/01/23. His mind was still very sharp and still looked like our sweet boy. His name was Champ and he absolutely lived up to the name! We miss him 😒so much. Love ❀️ you little buddyπŸ₯°πŸΆ

  2. My Benji passed away on 2.3.23 from an epileptic seizure. I'm devastated. He was 15.8 yrs old. The most sweet and gentle dog ever. Was an ex working dog and developed bad arthritis particularly in his paws, which caused him pain. I had him on Antinol and cartrophen injections. He is greatly missed.

  3. My grandfather and I bred, raised, and trained Border Collies.

I don't recommend them for first time owners, because they do require an owner who can stay one step ahead of them (we had one who watched us open the refrigerator door twice. She figured out that she could put her paw in the handle and walk backwards).

  4. I got my first BC September 3rd she was 9 weeks old she is now 10 months and I am amazed every day at her intelligence she plays frisbee, soccer , fetch, and basketball, challenging her is my favorite past time. If you have a tree in your yard tie a rope and hang some old towels or toys, shake it back and forth they love to tackle it jump and play this is also something they can do on their own time. Build muscle. Every day is a new experience with a BC.

  6. We got an 8 week old male part Border Collie part German Shepherd who is 14 weeks old now. I had a BC when growing up, my parents raised German Shepherds and I raised Rottweilers for 20 years plus I taught Obedience Training Classes for 26 years. What do you feel our boy will be like as an adult? He's being well socialized, already practicing his Obedience and I love him TOTALLYπŸ’žπŸΎπŸΎ

  7. We have a male BC that’s 2 years old. I love this dog. Very attached to this beautiful animal. I have had several dogs over my life time. This dog takes the cake. Would not recommend for a person that does not have the time to spend with them. He takes up a lot of my time.

  8. πŸ˜‚β€l found my border collie abused and abandoned on the street. She has received training however after three years with me she still does not trust people, particularly men. Because she is such an intelligent dog, she has not forgotten that someone hurt her. She found her forever home with me and has been living the life of Reilly. We love our girl.

  9. I have a Border Collie as a puppy she would escape under the fence. I thought her to love the yard. That is where she works. My fence is only 4 feet tall, but even if the door was left open she wouldn't even think to leave her yard.

  10. When you have a Border Collie, you have to accept that you have a smart, loyal, loving, bouncy bundle of slightly loony, semi-psychotic ball of craziness that will take every opportunity to outsmart you! And believe me, they will outsmart you!!
