  1. I felt the same way about most of the topics in this video… First episode, the worst. Both opening and ending… lackluster. I really really wanted to like it more than Collection, but I ended up feeling kinda meh. Like, at least Collection had a better compilation of stories… However, I really liked the change of format in every other segment. I don't know, I found that interesting

  2. I cant even watch this after he said this was made by the same people as big mouth. Why can't a legend among legends like junji ito get some proper animation? MAPPA picks up everything, why can't they do junji ito some justice or something?

  3. 70 dollars for an apartment that's nicer than any I've ever been in is a steal. TWO TVS. Or are American air bnbs usually this price range? In UK/Ireland I'm paying 30 percent more than that for a bedroom. If you're lucky the owner installed an ensuite. That's about the height of it

  4. I think compared to the 2018 version it got better but… The manga hits way better but I hope third time is a charm with these anthologies… in the worst case at least we still have the mangas

  5. it's not lol. i watched the first series whenever it was released and binged maniac right away when it dropped. if anything, some of the stories are such cliffhangers, but that's the beauty of it and besides they are shorts from his manga collection. idk why people even calls it bad

  6. oh i need to know
1- have you ever considered just adapting a story that alreadyu exists into your style?
2- what do you think of the junji ito comic where a bunch of stick bugs are just trying crawl into any orifice on this random chick?

  7. The ideas are often original, and even when they are not, the form is kinda interesting. But there are two shows now: one from 2018 ish and a newer one. The former looks very flat and theres not much detail or good shading and characters look…very basic. But worse it doesnt focus on a single story long enough to feel satisfying, and my ADHD even asks "WTF, JUNJI? PAY ATTENTION!".
The newer show improves upon the animation noticably enough, though its still only by a tiny bit, but it at least has whole episodes dedicated to a single story…WHEN SUDDENLY Things get cut short again too often. All in all it was a 5.5 to 6 out of 10 franchise at best. Really need to be more graphic, have harder hitting music and ambiance, more attention to detail overall, better pacing and longer stories that are not just 20 something minutes or less, and more episodes. I do hope for more though, but I dont expect the quality to improve much.

  8. Funny timing to post this cause I just started watching his anime and I LOVE ITTTT!! I like to draw random creepy things and the thinking that he puts into his work really inspires me to think more creatively whilst drawing!!

  9. It's really bad tbh. You either need to pump a lot of budget into the adaptation so the animation lives up to his beautiful drawing style, or leave it. They adapt some of his lesser known stuff and idk what shots were supposed to be adaptions of his notorious pageturners.

  10. Still disappointed with the 1st episode. I lost interest to watch more after the bland 1st episode. The 1st episode should be the most important episode to set the tone but with it being flat it just me bored and lost hope.

  11. For the opening- why couldn't they have taken note from Higurashi or any other existing horror anime with actually creepy vibe openings? Who's on this project trying to actively destroy the concept from the start? The IP is a massively famous horror icon and you can't just give it a fuckin' basic horror opening? 😤 If I ever actually watch this I'll be muting the opening and playing other music on top for sure. Why are dumb people hired to make TV shows? I don't understand this much stupid getting past an actual team of people who give a fuck.
