  2. So I just got an iPhone 14 pro max, I had the Samsung 21 ultra . Now I was die hard Samsung. But. But. Their phones would be great but 4 to 6 months in after a few software updates my phone would get glitchy. The last two updates left my Samsung screen unresponsive. I had to restart my phone like 2 times a day. I’ll say the way they function is similar between the two but the iPhone camera sucks compared to Samsung

  3. Samsung makes the worst aspect ratios I've seen and they're getting consistently worse, watching videos on a stick is ridiculous, I actually moved to iPhone after always buying android because they have better aspect ratios.

  4. S22 Ultra was a disaster with respect to heating & throttling issues and the SD 8G1 was underclocked for precisely the same reason by Samsung.

The S23 Ultra may come off TMSC foundries using a different manufacturing process & hence may be far more power efficient with respect to thermal characteristics.

Besides S23 Ultra onboard flash storage interface is UFS 4.0 which is 2x on performance and 46% more power efficient with respect to UFS 3.1 type used in S22 Ultra.

The primary camera is now 200Mp, so expect crisper images , although I am not thrilled that they still do not have OIS in Selfie camera even in s23 Ultra.

The SD 8G2 processor cores on S23 Ultra are clocked at 3.36GHz, 2.8GHz, and 2GHz as opposed to 2.8GHz, 2.5GHz, and 1.8 GHz on S22 Ultra and that will show up in performance/watt in benchmark applications.

What I wanted & missing in S23 Ultra:
    1. No holographic I/O interface yet for supporting AR applications
    2. Still No 16gb ram support even in the 1Tb sku
    3. 5G firmware in India support still restricted to SA/NSA in Sub6 band. No support for mmWave band yet. Maybe a future firmware update might fix it.
    4. No energous wireless charging. Still based on Qi and limited to 15W.
    5. Display is still 120Hz LTPO AMOLED 2x 6.8" with QHD+ with unaltered aspect ratio., while I was expecting 6.9", 140Hz LTPO with 93% screen-body ratio AMOLED 3x QHD+ display.

  5. I'm switching to Apple next. Everyone in my house has samsung. The amount of glitches these phones have since 20 is unacceptable. I have the s21ultra now. I had s20 before that, and that phone was unusable for basic functions. My wife has s22 ultra. More issues then i care to even list. These phones I have purchased are all half-baked concepts since my s8. I doubt we been just unlucky with 5 different phones now.
