  1. I remember when Title IX allowed a lot more for women in sports, and what womens basketball looked like back then. What we saw on this day was a dramatically different type of athlete. Awesome!

There is no way that I will train my grandchildren to play sports at the high school and collegiate level.

  3. Whole team's classy! Hoping that with the absence of the current Seniors next year, it would stay as enjoyable and fun and exciting to watch their fantastic brand of basketball!

  4. Props to the senior who answered that question. Respect Respect. Don’t ever blame anyone for your failures or loses. Take it like a woman or man. Which she did. LSU won the game. Please don’t blame the Ref interviewer please

  5. The wrong team won. America doesn't give a ** about LSU. We want to see LIKABLE players with character win. Yeah, if you're brainwashed, you feel like I'm veering slightly in an uncomfortable direction, possibly making allusions that don't exist (that's on you). All I know is this is fueling what my next rap on my channel will be about (or at the very least, topics I will touch on). It's a shame, thanks to these refs who have no skill, talent, and were undeserving to be there (were they handed these positions randomly?) we were robbed of a bigger moment in history. Not just a more likable team winning, but to skyrocket this sport to a new level. Casual fans would tune in to see Caitlin and the other likable players. No one gives a ** about LSU except their fans/that demographic.

  6. I grew up in Iowa, and I'm a huge WNBA fan. You made me so proud this year. This Iowa Hawkeye women's basketball team has no reason to feel that you failed. You were really exciting this year. I never watch college basketball, or I didn't until this year. I hope this big season turns into great freshmen players joining you for next season. Don't stop working to get better. When you win next year it will be even sweeter because of the way that you feel right now. I urge you to write a letter to yourself, be detailed and talk about what you are feeling right now. Then, end the letter with your goals for your personal growth for next year. > Then let it go and release the emotions for tonight and and maybe tomorrow and the week ahead. The best thing you can do is not pick up a basketball for two weeks, maybe 3. You will know what you need. Then get stronger and work on your specific goals. When you are back together as a team next season, remember the steps you have to take to get where you are today. Then get even better. Push yourself, lift your teammates, You will be National Champions in 2024.

  7. Some of the masses may have started watching when the tourney got down to Sweet 16 or so. But I watched during the regular season and conference championships and all teams really brought their game. The women’s level of play really went to the next level well before COVID and through this season. Great season for all teams! Title IX works and women’s sports rock! (Off topic but it was the Women in the Tokyo summer Olympics that brought the US to the most gold medals in so many sports (water polo, volleyball and so on). Love women in sports. Poetry in motion!

  8. The refs were absolute trash in this game on both sides. It was so bad they called a 10 second violation on LSU with only 9 seconds having been run off the shot clock. They should never be able to ref another game at any level.

  9. Someone please explain to me, how does anyone enjoy watching girls play when the men's college teams are massively more athletic? I honestly don't get how anyone could find this at all entertaining.

And these girls aren't even pros. The best girls professional team would get absolutely slaughtered by an average men's high school team. And that is not even an exaggeration. Ask anyone who really knows basketball, it's a fact.

So, seriously, why do some people find these girls entertaining? Seriously.

  11. This was a great tournament!!! I'm a new women's NCAA basketball fan. I must say I watched both press conferences and the LSU teams a bit angry, especially Angel Reese.
It's really sad to see such young players not play with joy.

  12. So well spoken on both parts. In my late 60s now I have to confess I have never watched a womens final four before. But this one was amazing and largely because of the play and character of the women like these two ladies.
