Introducing The All-new Hilti Plunge Saw: Watch The First Cut In Action!

This is my first cut with the new Hilti plunge saw on the Nuron platform, I have been fitting a kitchen and cutting all the panels and scribes with the new saw in conjunction with the Hilti Extractor

As I expected from Hilti the plunge saw is one of the nicest plunge saws in the market place and for more information see this link below

  1. The track saw is probably one of most versatile, tools on the market for a carpenter, kitchen work , scribing trim , doors you name it .. that’s why every tool company has jumped on board..
festool or mafell for me ..
although makita probably the best value for money, the 40v version of course.

  2. The 'rail saw'! This is where I first saw you and Roger comparing the offerings from all the usual suspects, and is how I made my judgement of what saw I wanted to invest in! This saw looks decent!

  3. Very similar to the Mafell MT55, certainly the F-clamps, the depth stop button and increment scale all look like Mafell components.

The Mafell has a scribe facility for veneered and decorative boards, this saw looks okay but I think I'll stick with the Mafell, Certainly the Mafell saw is a superior saw to the Festool in my opinion. I think that some of the Festool stuff is overrated and over priced, not all but some.

  4. No auto vac start? I'm using a 15 year old corded mafell with a cheapo macalister vac with power takeoff, personally when it comes to saws I'd take a corded tool I can run off power take off any day over a battery powered one with no bluetooth function.

  5. Hilti circular/plunge saws are compatible with Festool FS tracks. I can use circular hand saw with adapter already for years with FS track. New Mafell router adapter can also be used with Festool FS tracks.
