Great Sci Fi game this is reminds me alot of Journey to the Savage Planet e n Elite Dangerous
Just finished watching the first episode after looking at the deliver us the moon series and this video pops up ! Amazing timing. The game looks so promising already cant wait to see what mars looks like ^^
Wouldn't this be more of an Interplanetary Journey than Interstellar (which would mean going outside the solar system)?
interesting game
We solved energy issue but now we have another issue: Dad issues lol
8:50 "Oh, hell yeah." I had the same reaction, love these flippy-switch technical parts. I also appreciate that the others don't yell at you for taking your time. You figured it out a lot faster than I did!
Amazing music too.
Usually most Sci fi games / media add amazing tracks during the launch sequence process. I like how quieter this one is and how it takes a bit to reach the outer atmosphere. Additionally like you've said, the scaling this time around is quite bigger and doing the launch with a team feels so quite immersive.
I hope this game isn't going to take every opportunity it can to preach at ys about how horrible people are to the planet, there's poniting out an issue then there's beating a dead horse this game so far is producing some tender meat.
claire wants to treat her sister like she's incompetent and every possible thing will probably go wrong if kathy were to do something so avoiding is letting her do anything but also be respected as a leader? these kind of character dynamics have always been low quality writing in my eyes. yes people are stupid and can be particularly unreasonable when it comes to those they care about but I refuse to believe someone who is competent can act this way
wait, I just realised they have flying robots but still use normal rockets with current propulsion systems… what?
I really liked how the game portrays the feeling of size and emptiness. Both in space and some of the environments.
One of the things I love is that the main dev behind this and moon spoke about how his grandfather used to make telescopes so people could see the stars, and this is his way to continue that family legacy of getting people to see the cosmos. This is definitely a passion project, and you can tell.
One thing The Expanse taught me is not to hold your breath in a vacuum, otherwise your lungs can literally explode. So Kat should've taken a few breaths as quickly as possible to oxygenate the blood and then exhale fully. 41:18
Oh no! I am sorry if I accidentally posted something potential spoilery. I genuinely haven't seen any of the rest of this game, I promise! I was just talking about sci-fi tropes.
In any case, love this gameplay and can't wait to see more!
why are outward considered traitors though? we are not sworn a loyalty oath to earth or humanity as a whole, you can't be traitor without it. let people try out their luck somewhere else. i don't remember whose property was ARCs considered, that might be an issue, of course, but overall the WSA feels a bit too entitled (not to ARCs, to humans themselves). also, don't tell me that those three ARCs would be enough to save everyone on earth.
The pacing of the story is just perfect, like a metronome 🙂 It doesn’t feel rushed but there are moments of tension, it is measured, deliberate and yet somehow you can feel it all building up to a crescendo that feels like it’s just around the corner. After all, bringing hundreds of humans into space who believe themselves superior to the rest of their species is always foolproof plan…right? XD
Ha! Imzadi is not a word I expected to hear here. It's from Star Trek the Next Generation. It's kind of the Betazed word for soulmate, and Counsellor Deanna Troi uses it when referring to First Officer William T. Riker. The two were a couple for a while in the show's backstory, but they broke up for career reasons. While they never get back together inside the show, they wind up reconnecting as a couple in the movies and getting married at the beginning of Star Trek Nemesis.
Am I understanding correctly that their mission objective is to steal technology from possible enemies of Earth?
It seems the entire mission crew are engineers,
why aren't they sending any soldiers or diplomats or anyone that could help deal with humans in any way?
