  1. To add to the variety of 'organic' expression to towns, you can add in stone/brick as well. Whether it's a form of local concrete or something simpler, like cobble for towns that have been around for decades. Use nearby trees for houses as well. Really elevate the whole experience if bigger trees or even giant stone out croppings are nearby. Also, like someone else mentioned, sprawling towns with little pieces here and there to spread them out and make vehicles even more useful. It will also show a sense of evolution and age to a town as it became larger and more permanent. Starting out with scraps and then tending to the land more as stone structures were added in. Mission to take supplies from one location to another. Introducing bandit attacks- maybe there's some dwelling underground? A cave nearby? Stuff like this will help with the end game as NPCs become more organic themselves, too. Food for thought!

  2. you know what wouldn't suck? if you just leave the misc razor alone, and built a mirai razor that's just slightly different. with the introduction of the new brand, our old ship doesn't just miraculously become your new ship. that sucks. so why not have a misc razor, and a mirai razor, like what would exist in the real world, where the future can't change the past.

  3. I always loved MISC but thought that it's too much restricted to utility vehicles. Now with the more high tech sub-brand Mirai we will be able to have crazy ship like the one shown at the end. Seems like an amazing left field light fighter.

  4. You know what? These places doesn’t make sense. And "village" hardly fits as a description. This looks like it belongs in a post-apocalyptic setting like Mad Max.

  5. The artists are what make this game so addictive. The beauty and design of this game keeps you coming back even with the bugs. Props to all those creative types. Derelict sites look awesome.

Could care less about racing or racing ships. Light fighters as well. As if we don't have enough already. If that's all that's being released at Invictus, it's prob going to be a low sales event for CIG.

  6. I disagree that keeping manufacturer closed in certain fields make it more immersive and really hope manufactures will branch out into other fields, doens't have to be every manufacturer in every category but it would be nicer to have a certain design language branched out. Razor from MISC was great example for this, even a crazy one off like drake luxury cruiser would be interesting. Just as an insult to Origin and middle finger to everyone else – look we can do it if we want.

  7. nice to see these modulescoming along. but for the love of god give us some indication that the server performance, desync issues and general latency aren't here to stay – an MMO cannot function in that state.

  8. Suggestion: some people have already entered Invictus Show Room in PTU, then later were barred from entering until opening. Not sure if it was open to CIG only, but CIG could make specific items only operate for Staff via account. Like a security clearance badge but digital imprint. That's what I would do.
Then it could also be implemented for org specific locations.

  9. Looks Fantastic!
BUT for god sake gif a big kick ….. to the bug team (if they axist) to fix all the really annoying minor old and new bugs where we have to deal with every single day for years. and simple to fix. And I don't speak for my self, 70% in game chat is about that…

  10. This is a great idea I would love to see some a little more modern instead of post-apocalypse. considering if you're somewhere like Microtech it is just absolutely modern and stunning it doesn't reflect post-apocalyptic type settlement having some of them look like that is understandable but there should be a few with maybe just a bit more of a modern Flair. Something even like an old western space town with Habs and docking just a place to chill out with good views

  11. If I come to visit your ship, you had better have some Saurian Brandy available. 😉
Hm, can you strip the hull of a derelict ship (occupied or not)?
Ok, where's the "social" center (back of the bar, behind the bookcase)? ;-D

  12. As a Senior Environment Artist, I really like the work being done here “BUT”… and this is what I don't understand…

Why do you build everything in such a static way that it's like a Theme Park behind glass that you can look at?

You're constantly giving the player a feeling of: Don't touch anything or use anything. I highly believe it's nice to see it in person, but what are you going to do with it?
Can we use the bar, sit and drink there together? Can we go fishing after 10 years? Or is just a sweet to look at or shoot it location for another repetitive “get this guy out” quest?
(Fishing mechanics is a weekend of work to produce in Unreal Engine. Don't tell me that there is not a single soul of the 500+ people on a 500 Mil project to add some simple fishing mechanic.)

I am a supporter from day one, but please, from game developer's perspective who worked for you at GC and also for Eric… wrap up some gameplay things as well before half of the community died by age. I still love to get ships, still love to test things and report bugs – but would love to see some game loops outside the ship fight racing fps harvest bubble. Exploration and Science!

  13. So I crash land in the current time in what should be one of the busiest and most populated systems and I spend the next two years building a village instead of finding a way to get back. Got it, solid narrative.
