  1. To be honest, I was the biggest fan as a young kid of these movies. As bad as it sounds I would have liked to have seen him end the film surprising short round somewhere on an archeological exploration saying hey kid, and while short round is looking down put the hat on him. He looks up and becomes indie. Music plays while short round is looking directly into the camera, and cut. Just as in the beginning of the last crusade when his adventures started You can end the legacy there and not produce any more Indiana Jones films. He is gone.

This sounds more disappointing than canyon of the crystal skull. They really gave him and his characters legacy a shit send off.

  2. To those who say "Lower your expectations, this could never be like an Indiana Jones": Explain Mission Impossible. Explain 007. Those are still bangers every time. Maybe not for long but still, its not hard to craft something good. It seems like they are actively trying to make repulsive content to get negative news. So Id really do my homework before watching films. Look at the writers and directors work and if theyre shit, dont see it. If in the news theyre being racist and sexist dont see it. Dont let nostalgia bait you anymore.

  3. I thought Helena was trying to clear her father's name by proving the artifact existed and went to Indy since he knew about the dial. So he didn't convince his younger self to stay with Marion in England instead of being a deadbeat dad and by doing so changed the kingdom a bit

  4. The “old man” scene makes no sense. People didn’t get divorced in the sixties like they do today. And even now, 70-year-olds don’t get divorced. Marion certainly wouldn’t be the one filing for divorce. She’d need an actual reason for one thing and Indy isn’t a violent psycho so there’s no legal reason for a divorce. No Fault Divorce didn’t exist until 1970 when the UMDA was passed.

Should’ve hired a few writers who remember the world is older than them.

Mutt dying in the Vietnam War also doesn’t really work, unless he joined the French immediately after the previous film. He’d be about 30 when the war began, and a college graduate with a famous OSS-agent father; he’d be stateside holding down a desk if he joined the military.

  5. When I saw the trailer and the comment about 'capitalism" dropped, I knew it was going to be trash. That and they threw in a feminist sidekick (the actual hero of the film), and it was dead on arrival.

  6. Kathleen Kennedy and Phoebe Walls Lorraine Bobbitted Indiana Jones. Harrison would have been better off ending with expendables 4. Hate to say it, f@ck Lucasfilm and Kathleen Kennedy

  7. Why not just have the entire movie be of a de-aged Indy, i would love to see that. Sounds like first 20 minutes amazing, but after that its all downhill.

Also, when i think of Indiana Jones i do not think of time travel. It feels like such a lazy storyline.

  8. One thing NOBODY seems to have mentioned is that there is no such thing as a dial of destiny. Ark of the covenant and holy grail, even the shankara stones and even the crystal skull have real world analogues.
