  1. The change in pitch was a call curators have to do, which they did, keeping ICC informed, and all well within the law of books. The new pitch wasn't good, hence a better one was chosen for the day. Media says it was done to support spinners, and we know what pacers did in the match.
Locally we have a saying,…. One who can't dance, blames the floor.

  2. It is bullshit. It is cheating of the highest order. And it is being done under the knowing eyes of the most respected cricketer India has ever produced, Rahul fucking Dravid. So, as an Indian, irrespective of the histories and the colonialist hangovers, this is shameful. It will only lead to a sandpapergate in the future, a win at all costs mentality, which is not cricket. This is also symptomatic of the game in general though. Shakib, Broad, Ashwin are all testament to this. Cricket is no longer a gentleman's game. Commerce has enveloped it completely and utterly.

  3. About the pitch controversy, It's sad that BCCI did something like this and should not have happened but comeone but the teams get to play the same pitch it's not that it was changed in between so maybe it was fair more or less.

  4. Changes to planned pitch rotations are common towards the end of an event of this length and has already happened a couple of times. This change was made on the recommendation of the venue curator in conjunction with our host. The ICC independent pitch consultant was apprised of the change and has no reason to believe the pitch won't play well

  5. Sachin still remains the greatest ODI player in my book because his 154 ODI wickets. He could bowl 10 overs if required. Having said that if new wicket was used the team batting second would have been blown away. It is very warm and humid here and ball would swing and move a lot under lights. Having played a lot of club cricket here it was better to have a used wicket to take the advantage of the toss out of the equation. If it was cold and humid it would have been impossible to defend a total.

  6. I can understand your pain but its utter nonsense in what you speak. Assuming the pitch was doctored, lets dig deep. THe pitch has to be decided before the toss. So to take any benefit out of it we have to make sure that 1. India wins toss and elects to bat 2. India enjoys a great batting pitch 3. The pitch behaves exactly opposite when newzeland comes to bat.

  7. I think they changed the pitch becoz a pitch with more grass could mean the team batting second loosing 4-5 in first 15 overs and the game is over. So a dryer pitch gave 2nd batting team a chance to chase.

  8. Thats how we Indian are grown up we bow down and take elders blessings by touching their feet and virat did same on the ground
Please be respectful ❤he did what we all admire and respect to break gods record

  9. Mitchell's probably was the best innings of the game to be fair. It was a little bit better than Kohli's and delivered under more pressure given the position of the game and the scoreboard pressure. What a player he is, beautiful to watch.

  10. Hey guys, on your remark on the indian arrogance, do a little flashback on what the Aussies did.
    1) Ponting pushing Pawar aside to literally grab the trophy like a dog grabbing his rightful bone
    2) Aussies pummeling indian bowlers with body line bowling and breaking out ribs hands and heads in the border Gavaskar trophy.

Now it’s time for you guys to be our little puppy where we throw the crumbs and you pick up and wag your little sorry tail.

Even this TGC is owned (I mean not owned but controlled, in someone’s own words) by Indian power houses. So zip it!

  11. We Indians should definitely be called out for these last minute pitch changes. Thank you for doing it in a balanced way and highlighting the correct weightage of that unfair advantage. Loved the stuff about our colonial past… and the humor is on point.
What a great podcast I came across!

  12. I think Kohli’s ton almost threatened India’s target bcse he was just slowing down. There was enough depth, Rahul was the real reason for the success

  13. Look at higgos being selective to praise kiwi batters, when literally they were batting under the lights, the easiest time to bat comparatively. He doesn't speak a word of praise for India's batting and annoyingly just keeps laughing. What a Pathetic parasite 😂😂

I understand people hate BCCI, and so do I, but to not be able to stomach good performances by Indian players, has been and will always be a problem for the Aussies and Poms. Anyway, well played Kiwis! 😅

  14. There is definitely a racist elements, when it comes to India, not just in Cricket but in every sport. For e.g Before MotoGP India inaugural race, British and some other foreign media deliberately before even reaching the race track, started writing there are snakes on the track. There was none such thing was found at the racing track. But the audacity to write something about a place you haven’t set foot in shows what kind of mentality they have. Trying deliberately to ruin the name of events just because they can’t consume the fact that such a modern motorsport is happening in India. So there are racist elements when you disregard the talent to credit favourable conditions. Thats how we know now we have got these racist bastards.

  15. Thanks guys for your well thought out and fair commentary re: the mindframe of the Indian with consideration to its past history. This is something that most Indians understand and feel deeply.
