  1. I've always had it in mind that the Hobus star was part of an ultra wide binary pair with the Romulus sun. It didn't start out that way, but it was around 1.5 light years apart. So, when Hobus blew, it sent gravity waves along with whatever was used to blow the Romulus system apart and damage that star.

  2. I don't consider STO being 'not prime timeline' as bad.

Star Trek is a multiverse. hell there's a multiverse jsut amongst the old tabletop games compared to the shows.

Doesn't invalidate things just 'hey cool. we're the verse next door with our own mirror verse.'

  3. i feel like Lower Decks or Prodigy will detail the Supernova in some way… probably Lower Decks since Prodigy still has its own plotlines to deal with which involves going to the future to rescue Chakotay.

  4. The Romulans indeed have been given a tough time in the late-24th and early 25th centuries.
Though as evident by New Romulus and the Romulan Republic, the raptor they march under has the potential to become a phoenix.

  5. I think this is a good move Ric, exploring the galactopolitical environment behind the missions. But then I've played all the missions myself so they're reruns for me at this point. But I really like your analysis of the whos and whys of what happens in STO. I don't know how many times you've mentioned a connection between characters or events that I hadn't noticed.

  6. I’m a little concerned that what may seem like trivial interactions with apparent NPCs will become non-trivial later, forcing you to include vignettes of your gameplay in this part of the story.

You’re saving all of it, right?

  7. Rick, while it's about 2 months out, you really ought to do an episode about the Halloween/Friday 13th mission. If you want to, include the TFO, but I'd really love to see the reaction to the crazy cloner vulcan

  8. Thanks.
Whenever there's a break in your main series I catch up on your other content. This time on the until now inexcusably neglected STOSS Patrol episodes. And then: you put a seventh Patrol video online just as I was finishing up the other six. Like a bonus, nice. And thanks again.

  9. Foregoing saving lives to avoid paperwork and arguments. THAT is shortsighted. Avoiding trouble now but giving up endless lives that could mean anything later. Lives are always worth the trouble, always.
