I'm Sorry.

the negativity online can sometimes be toxic to your mental health. I’ve ingested my fill. I’m sorry that I let my frustration fail to cover an important story appropriately. Blizzard has a LONG ways to go if they want to improve relations with gamers and content creators alike.

  1. Hey Freedo, I gave up on Overwatch a number of years ago, alot of the community did.. I have however remained a sub to Your Overwatch as it was where I can to get better at the game. I'm ignoring what the latest thing Blizzard have got wrong (as I listen to the vid), to pop in and say congrats with sticking with it and like many gamers are voicing their honest opinions on a game they love. I'm absolutely gutted OW2 isn't going down a route I would have been invested in (PvE Coop Dungeon Crawler xD but we can't all have it our way). I really hope someone in Blizzard does watch your videos and are fighting the fight for gamers like Your Overwatch support. Thanks !

  2. As someone whose moved towards streaming Overwatch to my community, Freedo, I love having a beacon like you in the community. I've been watching you for YEARS and I truly love how honest and outspoken you are. Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone owns up to them. Mental fatigue is VERY real among creators, so I'm sure your loyal fanbase will understand. <3

  3. Thank you! I was very surprised to find you with that cold a take on the skin debacle because it just didn't feel much like you. I am very happy to see you recover and apologize, that was super impressive to see. It takes a lot of courage and humility to be able to make an apology video. Honestly that says a lot about who you are and how genuine you are with your videos. I am looking forward to Overwatch 2 but I am also looking forward to see what you do. I stopped playing Overwatch regularly just after goats meta. But I've kept up with the game through your content. And really appreciated your viewpoint! Keep it up!

  4. I like the terms you used for growth and famine mindset. I've been talking about this kind of thing myself for years but not having a term to use for it. I called it an upward-spiral mindset where people push each other to higher heights as opposed to others who act like everyone is an enemy that will only pull them down.

  5. Appreciate you making this vid. Not gonna lie, I did feel a certain kind of way after that other vid, and glad you stepped up to not only apologize, but elaborate and study up on your points and point of views. Stay 100%, King.

  6. We love you. It's so hard to get through life right now without having a negative attitude at one time or another. Sometimes we do it privately and sometimes it slips out with others. The most important part is that insight we gain when we realize that we've rolled into subscribing to the negativity and learning from it. We can be angry and not lash out. It's difficult, but very possible with insight, practice, and finding healthy outlets for anger. ♥

  7. Thank you for your videos, I’ve always appreciated your honesty and transparency, as well as the fact that not many YouTubers can offer criticism as well as receive criticism the way you do. Thank you for your humble attitude. Us as viewers can also be in the wrong, and sometimes we need to be corrected in our point of views. Either way, we share our love of Overwatch and I 100% support your channel even if our opinions may differ at times! 🫶 That’s what makes us humans. 🫂

  8. I will maybe forgive if you promise to never use the phrase "growth mindset" when you talk about politics, and if you promise to watch at least 1 noam chomsky video before bed tonight. Its the least we could ask for sitting through the 5th manscaped ad this week

  9. ow is now trash, blizzard literally does not care and just wants you to pump ur money for them. they are just trying to find a new gold wrapper for their garbage and its taken a toll on all of us. we are sick of it. even the content creaters are done with it. blizzard doesn't fare about you

  10. I honestly have agreed with much of your criticism. I understand trying to reflect on what and how you said things.
You've been working hard on Overwatch news for a looooong while.

  11. I don't think you can understand the FRUSTRATION that we are feeling… "those on the side". We only want to play and be a part of that Beta too. Apparently a new wave of acceess has come and still not in it. HOW CAN YOU FEEL OUR PAIN BRO ??

  12. It’s the system shock that makes us react negatively we’re not used to these sort of micro transactions but we have to cope coz that’s how ow 2 will be full of them

  13. I don’t even play Overwatch anymore, but I still appreciate watching your content. Love that your tales are always challenging to popular belief. Or you’re willing to go against the grain. Keep it up!

  14. I don't think an apology was necessary, and am disappointed that he gave in to the negative pressure of the masses. The whole problem is the idea that people think they are owed something. You aren't owed a spot on a list, you aren't owed viewers, you aren't owed anything. Blizzard is free to support whatever streamers they want and ignore others, you aren't owed their respect. They are in the business of making money and being successful and if they think their best way to promote the new game is through big time streamers instead of hardcore loyal streamers then that is their choice. They are free to do what they want and you are free to stop playing the game. I am so sick of this bullshit.

  15. I think people who know you/your channel know where you are coming from and appreciate that the nuance of your criticism comes from a place of truly loving the game and wanting the best for it and from it's creators. I don't think you owed any apology

  16. You need not apologize bro, just do your thing, not every day is 100%, some days are just that, we are human first and ideas second. I do respect self reflection tho.

If people get upset cause you feel different, heck them, we disagree on a bunch of stuff, AND that is fine, we don't even have to.

Just do you and don't let it get to you.

  17. IMO, your previous video was on point and you didn't need to apologise for the emotions in it. Maybe mentioning things you didn't know about is good, but I think in this case, there was very little reason for an update, or an apology.
I do think some videos with emotional-fuelled content are good, just stay clear of constantly ranting – which you don't do, I'm just mentioning where I feel the line is. I think your content is awesome!

  18. It's funny, that video was the only thing I ever disagreed with you on and I was surprised you had that take because I've watched you for literal years and expect reasonable takes. I'm really impressed you made this video. Good on you bud.

  19. They didn't support so many smaller streamers that played their game even when it had nothing going on but yo they changed park benches in game so non existent video game homeless people could hypothetically sleep on them!

    lol lmao even

  20. Thanks for making this Freedo. That was well said. Good video. I don't speak for everyone but I certainly appreciate and can respect an individual who's willing to acknowledge their missteps, their humility and overall just willing to take a bird's eye view at themselves from time to time. I hope you stick around, you're a great content creator. You're an important piece of the community.

  21. When it comes to gaining knowledge over OW I choose Your Overwatch because you IMO aren't really so biased. I'm sure you really love OW, BUT with that being said, are allowed to your own opinion. The forums are full of people liking this beta and other people that want NO ONE to touch some heroes at all or just simply want them to go back to the first beta changes.

  22. I don't know why anyone watches streamers. Boring asf watching someone else playing a game. On top of that most of them have annoying personalities and are not entertaining at all.
