The last guy has got it wrong. It’s Barney Fife. Opie was a kid on the Andy Griffith show. Barney Fife was a stupid cop who was allowed to carry only one bullet for his revolver in his shirt pocket. Most of the time, if he snuck that bullet into his gun, he had an accidental discharge. Then Andy would simply hold out his hand and Barney would hand his gun over to Andy.🤣 Barney was a typical moron cop who tried giving directives to everyone he could. One time he arrested half the town and put them in cells, including the mayor and Andy’s Aunt Bee! Barney represented the typical small-town cop and he was brilliantly played by Don Knotts. The worst thing you can call a cop is a Barney Fife! But most cops act just like him.
