GCO has 25,000+ acres of prime hunting ground located around San Mateo, Florida along the St. Johns River with several different tracks of land from the deep swamps, to the high oak hammocks.
The very first settlers that came through San Mateo in the 1800’s found the woodland to be absolutely beautiful and from there on thought of the land as “God’s Country”. This is where the name for our business originated from. God’s Country has even more meaning to us because our great, great, great grandfather, Mateo Solana founded this beautiful place. We are located only 30 minutes from the historical Saint Augustine, and only 45 minutes from the famous Daytona Beaches.
