  1. Regarding your vanity dilemma. Get a smaller one. Home Depot/ Floors and Decir sell 8 foot x 1" pieces of polished marbke/ granite . We used one for a threshold . Easy to cut. Put on sink top either side so it is dirt of like a backslash. The vertical sides on either side of walls can be filled in with solid vinyl cove molding (or painted wood)

  2. Let me say that I am not a carpenter but I have an idea for your vanity problem. If you could get the vanity top to fit, you could get any vanity bottom and put wood on both sides. Then you could pit a piece of trim to cover up the wood . If you feel industrious you could make your own cement counter top. I know that I am not industrious . Thank you for sharing your content. I look forward to your next adventure.

  3. Gumball advice (that's all I am good for): keep a note pad and pencil in the coin drop and write down the date and new subtotal each time… Hmmmm…. and I like the commenter's idea about sliding your vanity flush on one side, and in the gap, you could maybe install a mini slide-in shelving thing on wheels… to look like an intentional convenience… 🤔

  4. If it were me, I'd have a custom vanity made and then for the top I'd have a 2 sink countertop made from not used material from already done jobs. Countertop companies usually have extra from jobs already done that they will use for just that reason. A buddy of mine owns a granite and marble countertop company and he does that for customers all the time. Hope that helps and best of luck with what u end up deciding on.

  5. I’d investigate those tall thin spice rack type pull outs you get in fitted kitchens for your ‘gap’ as you could potentially store toiletries in the shelves If you can’t get one that is exactly the right size you can still buy the pull out mechanism and fashion something the right width But definitely the double sink
As for covering the gap at the counter level I’d try and make it a feature – perhaps a little tiled ledge where you could put a vanity tray or small faux plants or toothbrush mug etc
