It would make sense. During the pandemic we’ve had a prophet doctor, and seeing how the things affect the heart we have a heart doctor specifically. Then for when the world is in chaos but the saints establish the kingdom of God not just spiritually but as government we will need a prophet with knowledge of law and order.
Just wondering if you have had that cough checked out…I have interstitial lung disease and it started with a cough. ❤
2033 is also 3 years post the ominous 2030 year that the wicked combinations have selected as, it appears, the year they plan to usher in their kingdom. 2030 is also 200 years since the Restoration. And don’t the scriptures say that this wicked kingdom will be allowed to reign for 3 years?

Not that he was a world leader, but it was recently reported that Chaim Topol, the Israeli actor who played Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, just passed away.
I keep trying to share this but no one takes me seriously. Joseph asks a question and the answer is fascinating when you realize that each prophet in their earthly profession is the prophet when there is something happening in the world. President Nelson is a heart dr… at the same time as a world wide pandemic but also at a time prophesied where men’s hearts would fail them… president oaks is a judge and in this vrs God says there will be a “judgment” before his coming.
In D&C 77:12 Q. What are we to understand by the sounding of the trumpets, mentioned in the 8th chapter of Revelation?
A. We are to understand that as God made the world in six days, and on the seventh day he finished his work, and sanctified it, and also formed man out of the dust of the earth, even so, in the beginning of the seventh thousand years will the Lord God sanctify the earth, and complete the salvation of man, and judge all things, and shall redeem all things, except that which he hath not put into his power, when he shall have sealed all things, unto the end of all things; and the sounding of the trumpets of the seven angels are the preparing and finishing of his work, in the beginning of the seventh thousand years—the preparing of the way before the time of his coming.
And you of all people should see the significance in the numbers where this vrs is found… 77 and 12

It's interesting that President Nelson and President Oaks were called at the same time (not that that in and of itself is a unique thing). They really are a pair in a way and represent both necessary spectrums of the gospel: the heart and the law.

We need to remember to separate politics from gospel. There are several general authorities who are Democrats. This is a good time for members to step back and see their goodness/righteousness. Think about their talks, what they say. Do you really disagree with them? Then we need to realize that we have many DEMs in the church who are trying to become as Christ. Charitable, loving, generous, inclusive just like Pres Nelson has been trying to show us how to be. To love and help the poor, the immigrant, the elderly, and disabled. To serve our fellow man without judgement or ridicule. To disdain violence in all forms, to be a peacemaker. Do Republican LDS really disagree with that? This is basically the Democratic platform. I know, people have heard crazy things about us, like we did want open borders. That's not true. We want the money to be used wisely. I grew up near the border and I can tell you walls don't work, yet during the last administration over 5 billion was spent on a structure that is literally falling down. We could have had night vision camers/goggles etc. Drugs come across at vehicle crossings not hauled through the desert. We want a comprehensive solution.
So let's not judge other political parties based on rumors or claims from anti-party TV hosts. They want you to hate the other party. There's a lot of DEMs in the church, we just don't yell it out because we don't want contention. I could name some of the DEM apostles I know, but I won't. Stop judging based on political party.

Bill Russell, the best and winningest NBA player of all time, died last year(July 31st, 2022) at the age of 88. He won 11 championships in the NBA, 8 as a player, and 3 as a coach. All as a Boston Celtic. He was the first African-American NBA coach(1968), too.
Whichever team wins the NBA championship each year, selects a player from their team as the MVP(most valuable player). It is called the Bill Russell MVP award because of how great he was as an NBA player and a person in general.

In Oaks recent biography, the writer states that President Nelson specifically wanted Oaks as counselor because he would be the next President.

He is a descendant of Dennison Lot Harris as are my children through my wife. In history, Dennison Lot Harris and Jonathan Scott were the boys who told The Prophet Joseph about a secret combination to kill him.

That town that was burned down was Paradise, CA. That was in our stake. That particular picture was of the Buschmann ward building. It is where my parents attended church. It completely burned to the ground. But the other ward building wasn’t touched.
I compared the order of the Apostles to there birtday's. Unless there is a change in the manner of succession during the millenium then the next president of the church will be Dallan H Oaks, followed by Jeffery R Holland. M Russell Ballard will have already reached the age of a tree and will have been changed in the twinkling of an eye. The next in line would be David A Bednar, etc. ending currently with Ulysses Suares.
I served a mission in 1985. Elder McConkei had recently passed away and the newest members of the Quorum were elder Nelson and Elder Oaks. In the Provo MTC we would name all the 12 Apostles before we started gym time.
Previously the missionaries would shout the name of the more popular Apostlessuch as LeGrand Richards or Bruce R McConkie. With their passing that changed for a while. We would shout Elder Oaks name loudest because he was last.
Now almost 40 years have passed. I have witnessed a complete turn over in the Quorum of 12 Apostles.
