I Tested $1200 Worth Of MagSafe Multi-Chargers – Which Ones Was Best?

Choosing the best MagSafe 3 in 1 Charger isn’t just about brands. It’s about performance, reliability, and standing the test of everyday use. A little over a year ago, we figured that the Belkin Boost Charge Pro was the best multi-charger. Is that still the case? Monty and I have tested $1200 dollars worth of Made For MagSafe Multi-Chargers and there are some great products!

Overall, the Made For MagSafe chargers in this video performed significantly better than the previous generation of multi-chargers. The difference between 7.5W of Qi-charging with the 15W of MagSafe charging is definitely faster!

Here’s the rest of the rankings

4. ESR Halolock 3 in 1 Charger – I’ll be honest with you, I was bamboozled by this product. Why? Because in my search for Made For Magsafe chargers, I saw this Made For Apple Watch and thought it was Made For Magsafe. This charger is slow BUT not as slow as the Mophie. The only redeeming feature about this product is the price and the portable Apple Watch charger.

5. The Anker Series 737 is a decent charger. It’s priced a little cheaper at $140 dollars but that’s it’s only redeeming feature because the charge speeds are below average. The AirPods charge pad isn’t big enough to charge anything else except a set of AirPods.

6. The Normal Belkin Boost Charge? Again, runs hot and charges slowly like it’s Pro cousin but costs just as much as the Pro. This flat charger has a feature that allows you to raise the Apple Watch charger to accommodate larger devices.

7. The Nomad Base One pulled a fast one on me as I thought the space behind here, was for my headphones. It’s not. The unit doesn’t come with a charger, you have to supply your own which is annoying BUT the biggest slap in the face is the fact that my Apple Watch Ultra with a case doesn’t fit on the charger.

8. The ex-winner, the Belking Boost Charge Pro is slow, runs hot and but looks decent and the build quality is great. The Charge Pro was the best product out of all the MagSafe compatible multi-chargers but when put in a competition with equivalent products, gets blown away…

9. The Mophie 3 in 1 Travel Charger came in dead last because it’s dead slow. Yes, Mophie is trying to fix it but as it stands now, this cheap feeling product is terrible. The felt bag is nice but who would pay $150 for a felt bag?

  1. Thank you for the review. Would like your review on Kuxiu X40, portable 3 in 1 charger that I think looks great and easier to take for trips. Not sure about real world charge times tho.

  2. I read in user reviews that the AW Ultra does not fit well on the Anker Cube which causes it to stop charging the watch. Seems like an important issue to me, did you test that?

  3. I have a cheap stand that fits the Apple MagSafe on the bedside table as well as a small one that uses the Apple Watch charger, can’t fault them and didn’t think I’d use the Apple MagSafe Duo Charger but it’s had a lot of use both on the lounge side table and when I need to stay at hotels. The duo charger is expensive but very thin and doesn’t take up any space.

  4. Default Apple Setup .. wouldn't it be a bit more fair to compare 2 MagSafe + Apple Watch charger? Since most of those will charge all 3 devices at the same time, which you couldn't do with your default comparison. Sure, it's still way cheaper going that route; just felt like "being that guy" is all.

  5. Do you miss to test the ESR 3 in 1 charger. They do a lot of car chargers and one really desk charger for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods. I think you would like it.

  6. I got the Mophie 3in1 for when I’m away from home and I absolutely love it! I’ve used it a couple of dozen times now already. I don’t really care about the charging speeds because my devices charge overnight. I also love that it comes with a case, so all is nice and neat.

Even with all 3 on low battery mode, my iPhone 13pro, Apple Watch 6 and AirPods Pro 2 were ready to go, all at full power in the morning.

My wife is jealous of my setup when we go away, so I’m going to get her the Anker 3in1 cube instead of the Mophie because her home charger is due for a change as well and it seems pretty easy to pack and carry.

    Great review as always Aaron!

  7. I bought the Belkin Boost Charge Pro based on your recommendation (and used your link!) and it's worked flawlessly. I'm not concerned with charge speeds as long as it can completely charge everything overnight. The two negatives you mentioned are true for me as well. First, it can get uncomfortably hot. I charge my AirPod Pro on it and the whole case gets hot where I need to let it cool down before I can place the earbuds on. Second, the cord is too short. I had to get an extension cord behind my drawer in order to place the charger where I wanted.

All that aside, I'm now looking for a compact travel charger and I'll go with your recommendation for Anker's.

    Cheers!

  8. I went to apple store to buy anker cube
At the last moment I asked to test if it is compatible with my samsung galaxy watch earbuds phone mobile (the 3)
And of course it is NOT compatible
    Thanks

  9. I’d recommend the new ESR 25W 3-in-1 with Cryoboost. The one in the video is the standard 3-in-1 that isn’t MagSafe certified and lacks fast charging for the Apple Watch. The new 25W model is now fully Apple certified for the MagSafe and Apple Watch charger at the faster 5W speed and has a magnetic wireless charging area for AirPods and AirPods Pro. There’s also a higher end version of it coming out that is a 6-in-1 that has 2 USB C ports and 1 USB A that has 100W GaN so it can charge a MacBook Pro at full speed when nothing else is charging but can still charge with speeds up to 40W on the first USB C port and the second can still output 20W while the USB A can do 5W while still using MagSafe charging and using the watch and AirPods chargers as well. I ordered the 3-in-1 for my wife and I’m very impressed with it so far and I ordered the 6-in-1 but it won’t arrive till sometime in October.

  10. Can you do a review on the ESR MagSafe wallet with Find My capability? I am looking for a MagSafe wallet and am torn between it and the Pop Socket Wallet+ that you have recommended in the past. I trust your opinion and reviews and would love to know what you think of it.

  11. As always your videos' are outstanding. The question I have with the chargers in this test is what about "HORIZONTAL" charging of my i Phone with the new feature in IOS 17????? Allof these with the charging of the watch and i Phone it appears the watch charging will interfere with the horizontal charging of the i Phone… Thnaks
