if you want to play a Modern Digimon game, here are the 3 core Options, each one plays and feels differently.
1. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth + Hacker's Memory, the "main" style of Modern Digimon RPGs. Feels like a Pokemon game in a lot of aspects.
2. Digimon World: Next Order, a "spiritual remake" of the first Digimon World game with a similar training system as the one used in this Minecraft mod, but also the most bullshit in cases.
3. Digimon Survive, the most recent game as of 2024 and the most different of the bunch. Its main gimmick is that it feels like a Season of the anime, but it comes with a Visual Novel approach to storytelling and Tactical Strategy combat. Not recommended for a first-time Digimon enjoyer.
