  1. All 3 of the times I’ve seen someone set of their player character in spla3n , they’ve picked the female setup? (All 3 people are male ftr).
This doesn’t quite reach the p<0.05 significance level (instead, p = 1/8 , or maybe 1/4 if being symmetric about it) so that’s maybe not really enough to suggest anything particularly strongly, but,
    still,
    huh? Why?

I don’t know about other people, but, when I am picking a player character who isn’t like, one of a set of distinct characters with distinct personalities[1], but are essentially just different appearances, I feel strongly compelled to pick the character’s -inity[2] to match my own?
(Though I don’t mind when a game’s player character is their own character, not meant as merely a representation of the player, and that character has a different -inity from mine.)

[1] : yeah, yeah, “personalities is a myth created by Big Literature to sell more fiction” I know, but, like, you know what I mean.

[2]: “-inity” as in, whether male or female, but in a way that doesn’t specify whether “sex” or “gender” is the more specific sense meant. So like, (size:height:width)::(-inity:sex:gender)

  2. yeah i need you to play the secret kettle, my stupid ass is playing during splatfest and realised my mistake after the first checkpoint. target rail gauntlet. that one had me screaming. now i’m at the last part, and good god this game is actively forcing me to get better at fps play. as someone who sticks to my little splatroller and tries to just paint and be sneaky… i have been duped. octoling hell, like the first two waves are manageable and predictable but that third one? ult chaos. i’m so close man, i’m sacrificing splatfest and salmon run shifts for some goddamn bear ears but I NEED THEM. this game is dangling them like a carrot and i am but a horse with a gun. i mean, we are 3 games in so splatoon putting the splatgun to my head and forcing me to shoot the one in my hands is probably fair, right?
