I wish there was a game like this but it instead takes place during the musket era. Swordsmen would become Calvary, then there's the Archers, who would be replaced by Musket Riflemen, the Catapults would be replaced with Cannons and the Ballistas would be replaced by… Bigger Cannons? Ones that fire a bigger projectile, dealing more damage but like the Ballista, would be stationary compared to the other moveable Cannons.
Would probably not work but still a cool concept
