  1. You can actually throw a lit cigarette into diesel fuel and the cigarette will go out. My uncle David did that when he was helping me finish my rebuild on my ‘73 Chevy truck. We actually had to throw a lit paper towel in there to get it fired up so we would have heat in the barn that we were working in. He taught me a lot. Was a mechanic for 25 years and drove a truck for 25 years. RIP UNCLE. I sure miss you and your knowledge.
Also, maybe the fuel pickup is off, bad, clogged. But I think it’s something with the pickup in the tank. Good luck.

  2. I'm wondering was that journal egg shaped, if so that repair will be short lived. Running it that long I'd say it was. Should have mic'd that journal a full 360*. I also hope the caps were placed on the correct rod not just stuck back to the corresponding cylinder. If so and the whole rod was previously moved then I see trouble.

  3. Those dam rod bearings are the only noise (Knock) that we ask for a second opinion from someone with more experience to verify what we already know but hope that they say something different, but nope they say just what you know but refuse to admit its right, The Bearings Are Shot,,lol,

  4. I had a 2013 e92 m3 and had my bearings replaced after adding a blower and e85. She was one of my favorite cars.

I sold it because everything was so expensive. It would have been $20k just for forged pistons and rods!
