I flew to Britain’s most remote (inhabited) island – Fair Isle. It’s been a while since I had a great day out by plane and this splendid 20 minute flight from Tingwall to Fair Isle was just the ticket. How many airlines let you pay in cash!? My time on Fair Isle was stunning…just watch the video and you’ll see what a beautiful haven it is.

Loved it Paul. Thanks 😊😊
You have managed to capture the beauty and tranquility of this island really well here. One of your best. Many thanks!!!
Great video
Great video.
Getting Rick Steves vibes…your editing is fantastic. :V
What a great flight.
Jeez – not even a WH Smith 😅
Single pilot flying a twin piston aircraft (defo piston as you can see the “mixture” levers in the throttle quadrant) is a serious workload and I bet very tough when the weather comes in. That said I doubt they have ILS at either end of the trip. RNAV in weather or are they only VFR flights? Anyone know?
A really interesting video Paul. I spent a week on Shetland in 2022 really enjoyed myself. Trying to sleep when it never seemed to get dark was a challenge but luckily I had kept my eye mask that i was given on the ferry.
What a great trip. Thank you for sharing.
One of my favourites of all your videos Paul. Such an amazing day.
Sad to see the air ambulance though. A quick google of SCAA and Fair Isle showed me – if it was the day you went – why they were there, plus some photos from their day.
Such a charming place. As a lover and collector of postcards, the puffin would be a delightful addition to my collection. I know your niece loved it.
But wait, it's not raining! Must be AI generated LOL
Great trip buddy.
I guess St Kilda doesn't count, as its not contiguously inhabited, just during the summer….!!
Love those BN2s!
Great video. Lovely stuff. Don't know what the frame in the left hand windscreen is but it looks like someone left a wheelie case on the bonnet. :))
Paul… Houston Dynamo? Such a controversial statement. 😂😂
Fantastic
Dunno why, but I've always fancied a trip to the most northern point of Shetland, maybe one day
Great video.
The lengthy production-run of the Islander is a tribute to the design team.
Liked the infinity-runway.
Interesting to see a DE Havilland Chipmunk parked on the ramp There are many of them in the US but I flew one several years ago, sweet little bird.
Great video, love flying in the islanders. If you haven’t already you should do a day trip from Oban on Hebridean airways also part of air task. Book a flight to conlonsay for £38 and back on the ferry three hours larer for £15
I work for Loganair and had the privilege of taking one of our Islanders up from Kirkwall to Fair Isle back in 2018. It was a quiet day with empty seats and I took a "familiarisation" flight at no cost. So my wife (who did have to pay) and I went up and spent all of 10 minutes on the island. And it was enormous fun even though we didn't actually really visit or see anything of Fair Isle apart from aerial views.
Interesting visit to remote Fair Isle. Thanks Paul.😀👍👌
Astonishing views on the Shetland Archipelago. Thank you for bringing us along.
Ok this is weird…
I have been a subscriber to this channel for years now, but recently we had a new employee start at my workplace. We work together, and he just happens to be Paul's doppelganger. Twin brothers from another mother Lol 😁👍
Only difference is my co-worker is Ukrainian, no British accent. I will forever think of Wingin' It now everytime I get to work in the morning, ha ha!
Hey Paul, nice vid but I have a burning question – the scene where you are eating lunch on a rock, how dud you perform the auto pan?
Dirt runway.
