I flew to Britain's MOST REMOTE island. (and it surprised me!)

Go to https://surfshark.com/winginit for 4 extra months of Surfshark.

I flew to Britain’s most remote (inhabited) island – Fair Isle. It’s been a while since I had a great day out by plane and this splendid 20 minute flight from Tingwall to Fair Isle was just the ticket. How many airlines let you pay in cash!? My time on Fair Isle was stunning…just watch the video and you’ll see what a beautiful haven it is.

  2. Single pilot flying a twin piston aircraft (defo piston as you can see the “mixture” levers in the throttle quadrant) is a serious workload and I bet very tough when the weather comes in. That said I doubt they have ILS at either end of the trip. RNAV in weather or are they only VFR flights? Anyone know?

  3. A really interesting video Paul. I spent a week on Shetland in 2022 really enjoyed myself. Trying to sleep when it never seemed to get dark was a challenge but luckily I had kept my eye mask that i was given on the ferry.

  4. One of my favourites of all your videos Paul. Such an amazing day.
Sad to see the air ambulance though. A quick google of SCAA and Fair Isle showed me – if it was the day you went – why they were there, plus some photos from their day.

  5. Great video, love flying in the islanders. If you haven’t already you should do a day trip from Oban on Hebridean airways also part of air task. Book a flight to conlonsay for £38 and back on the ferry three hours larer for £15

  6. I work for Loganair and had the privilege of taking one of our Islanders up from Kirkwall to Fair Isle back in 2018. It was a quiet day with empty seats and I took a "familiarisation" flight at no cost. So my wife (who did have to pay) and I went up and spent all of 10 minutes on the island. And it was enormous fun even though we didn't actually really visit or see anything of Fair Isle apart from aerial views.

  7. Ok this is weird…
I have been a subscriber to this channel for years now, but recently we had a new employee start at my workplace. We work together, and he just happens to be Paul's doppelganger. Twin brothers from another mother Lol 😁👍
Only difference is my co-worker is Ukrainian, no British accent. I will forever think of Wingin' It now everytime I get to work in the morning, ha ha!
