I Built a Track With an Impossible Skill Ceiling to Destroy my Friends!

In this episode I’ve built a track that has an identical version as the ceiling except it is covered with impossible obstacles to make it… well impossible I guess. Another track idea straight from your comments!

  1. Make a choose your own adventure maze map where only certain doors are open to the finish but then have doors open and close based on rng and triggers through cats or fridges or something. Maybe make it so you have to get lucky with rng or make a system to where there’s always a path but that sounds way more complicated

  2. You should make a track with multiple branches where the branch that a player can take is randomly selected using some kind of random physics + logic (e.g., cats, Unity bounces, etc.). The branches could rejoin before the next fork so you don't have to make a giant course. But it should make almost every attempt unique.

  3. Had an idea for Yannic when you talked about the (spider)cats: Spiders – functionally similar to the cats, but they can walk on walls/upside down. Maybe with a smaller hitbox or something like that to differentiate them from the cats?

  4. kAN: "You can't actually get cats to stick to a ceiling"
Just use the screen mesh, it's like a screen door. Cats can stick to a screen door.
My cat climbs the screen thinking it can get in. 😹

  5. I don't think this is much of a theme, but I feel like you can apply it to just about any track idea. Just utilize this idea to the fullest, which is: "It seemed like a great idea at the time." Like it's similar to your choices has consequences, but basically every choice puts you in an RNG chance to eat it. Some might just end your run. Others will just straight up end your run with no option to survive. But just start with a normal Zeepkist track. Then add something else that might seem cool like a bit of a snowy bobsled course on the zeepkist track and then add frictionless soap loops because that seems like a fun idea. And then add more and more ridiculousness until you end up jumping to the final version (like this track should repeat small parts as a sample of the "great ideas" and pan out to the penultimate course of ragertz. Put some 2 or 3 check points in the samples with a full course of check points in the finished bit so that the full weight of regret sinks in. Everyone will get the gist of "It seemed like a great idea at the time." It seemed like a great idea at the time to join in the server with Fiets and kAN and kosmo and Dapper and all of those other guys…….Now we're on kAN's track we've realized we've make a horrible mistake and regret our decision.
