Elden Ring takes place in the realm of the Lands Between, sometime after the destruction of the titular Elden Ring and the scattering of its shards, the Great Runes. Once graced by the Ring and the Erdtree which symbolizes its presence, the realm is now ruled over by the demigod offspring of Queen Marika the Eternal, each possessing a shard of the Ring that corrupts and taints them with power. As Tarnished—exiles from the Lands Between who lost the Ring’s grace and are summoned back after the Shattering, players must traverse the realm to ultimately find all the Great Runes, restore the Elden Ring, and become the Elden Lord. Elden Ring is an action role-playing game played in a third-person perspective with gameplay focusing on combat and exploration; it features elements similar to those found in other games developed by FromSoftware, such as the Souls series, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki explained that players start with a linear opening but eventually progress to freely explore the Lands Between, including its six main areas, as well as castles, fortresses, and catacombs scattered throughout the open world map. These main areas are interconnected through a central hub that players can access later in the game’s progression—similar to Firelink Shrine from Dark Souls—and are explorable using the character’s mount as the main mode of transport, although a fast travel system is an available option. Throughout the game, players encounter non-player characters (NPCs) and enemies alike, including the demigods who rule each main area and serves as the game’s main bosses.
Combat in Elden Ring relies heavily on character-building elements found in previous Souls games and related intellectual properties, such as calculated and close-ranged melee-based combat with the use of skills, magic abilities, as well as blocking and dodging mechanics. Elden Ring introduces mounted combat and a stealth system, the latter being a core gameplay element from Sekiro; these features are expected to encourage players in strategizing their combat approach with each unique enemy they encounter. The game makes use of a player character stamina bar after being absent from Sekiro, although its overall influence over combat was reduced compared to previous FromSoftware games that utilized it. Unlike in Sekiro, resurrection mechanics after in-game death are not available; however, some elements were added to ensure players’ progression within the game.

There are only 3 factors that make this game a huge success; the ENORMOUS amount and variety of Bad guys/Bosses, the ENORMOUS amount of content, & the freedom of exploration. It's success is not based on the combat, gameplay, graphics, UI, realism, physics, e.t.c. It's an amazing game/experience.
Most gamers are not going to finish Elden Ring because of its difficulty 😔 / including me / i will play a little of the game beat.some bosses & move on / i not spending my life on one game / i got other games to play /
Yo, I'm not proud of myself here but I just want to let everybody know that if you actually think that's DreamcastGuy trying to give away a PS5, it's not. I'm really embarrassed to have almost fallen for this because I know he does giveaways sometimes but I rarely ever try to enter so I thought he was actually try to do something here. To those comparing Elden ring to Skyrim. I think we will know it’s as good if not better then Skyrim if in 5 years people are still talking about it and less people are talking about Skyrim. Skyrim is one of the greats but we will soon know if Elden ring dethroned it.
So you played it like you're supposed to. No guides, bravo. That's how real souls fans play it even if they have the option to look shit up. Why do you always sound like you're low key trying to brag.
Now I haven’t played Elden Ring, so take this with a grain of salt. But if after beating it (multiple times in your case) and spending 100 hours, if you still don’t really know what’s going on or even a real why.

How were u able to beat it so fast u must of had a speed run
I had spent an additional 100 hours in the game as well finding every nook and cranny and completed every boss encounter as well. Had no place left to go but NG Plus to work on alternate endings. I have to say though, some of these optional bosses, and some of the best are hidden in obscure parts of the map, most devs would kill to have as main content. I was not disappointed at all in my time in the game after the main story. It truly is a work of art. Total time in my first run was just around 200 hours.
i already loveed this game but the number of bosses and the actual speed is great.
Congrats! Bosses were only hard when low level, first two were nuts, even in co – op we would be them maybe 1 /10 and 2nd 1 / 15 to 20 lol. But once I leveled to level 35 other world's bosses are pretty easy 1 to 2 tries max. They should fix that in a part 2 or dlc.

I want to love the game as the other ones in the soul franchise, but after 20 hours I still can't. For me the openworld aspect little bit bland and boring with generic places like same looks like cemeterys and ruins.Good game but I prefer the old ones.

As of now on PSN trophies over 2000 people have the platinum making it a 11% rare trophy. At least some are completing and getting their money worth, likely to see lots of trade-ins in upcoming months. Second hand gaming has become very popular and will continue as prices of gas,food, utilities etc rise.

reminds me going blind into any game and find things that no guide even mentions. it prove that guide and walkthrew tends to be streamline content, that skips hidden and miss able content.
