Why is Rob so enamored with Chris Walker? Last year he didn't earn first, second, third team OR honorable mention honors in the Big Sky conference and wasn't on any preseason honors list this year. Somehow, a guy who doesn't garner honorable mention honors in the Big Sky conference is the answer to Nebraska's issues at tackle.
Love the YouTube format guys! It looks great. Only downfall is I’ve been loyal podcast listener since ‘19 and I listen at 1.5x speed. I jump on here and you guys sound hammered!
Thanks for all you do!
still listening
Don't listen to the one detractor, your discussions and guests are great, and every other good podcast talks about the other teams in the conference and top 25 because IT"S RELEVANT! As a Nebraskan living behind enemy lines in Wisconsin, we love hearing about local Nebraska sports. It's interesting here in Badger land, there wasn't a lot of hoopla around the #1v#2 Volleyball matchup, and the main Wisconsin newspaper (Journal Sentinel) didn't even post the results until Sunday afternoon. Checked prices for 4 tix when the Husker Vball team plays in Madison Thanksgiving Friday, and they are going for $500/tix. The next day on Saturday the badgers play Iowa, and the tix are $50/tix. Now that the roles will be reversed, be curious to see if there will be more hype for the November matchup. Thanks for offering such a great product for us guys living abroad, it's appreciated! (Also: In the 80's, we had skipping exercises in PE at Malcolm, NE).
Kind of hard to beat that capacity record with a football game when you can’t put 7k seats on the field.
The safe spaces were at full capacity after being ask where Hitler was born. 😢😢😢
I listen specifically to hear Dr. Rob's blunt but precise micro-surgical analysis of current (and legend) NU football. I moved from NE in 1988; aside from attending one home game a year, "DocTalk" remains one of the best connections I have to keep up. I also read HuskerMax stuff. Not a bettor nor a beer-drinker, nonetheless you guys are among the best & usually entertaining as well. Love hearing Rob rag on the Hawks!
Don't change anything. The variety is what makes the show unique and worth the listen. I'll skip past all the other Husker fluff shows.
Love the podcast. Can't please everybody, but you have to mix in some Iowa talk, especially when talking about the division. Travis, I see you as very fair when talking about Iowa. I'm a '97 UNL grad and miss that 90s energy in Memorial stadium. It was awesome. I live in AZ for 20+ years now and nothing here compares to those experiences! When Rob mentioned Mike Minter, I had a flashback to a class I had at UNL, AG/LEC (Agriculture leadership, education and communcation). I had that class with Mike on East Campus, I think the fall of 96. We had a little old lady professor named Anita L. who still took attendance the old fashioned way at every class meeting. Mike was in the class and on the roster, but never showed once if I remember correctly. She would just call out his name like 3 times looking around confused and dimayed and no one would ever answer (you wouldn't be able to miss him if he was really there since he was a big football player dude). This went on all semester! I can still hear her in my head…. "Michael Minter….. Michael Minter…. is Michael Minter here….. no.. Ok" Then she marks him absent and moves to the next name. Same thing every time we had that darn class, LOL. Now, in Mike's defense, he was probably getting ready for the draft and had better things to do than show up to that class. That's my story of having a class with a well-known Husker, or not having class with him depending upon your perspective! Good times! Glad I grew up there and stayed home for college. There really is no place like Nebraska! I am so blessed to be a Nebraskan. Society peaked in the 90s, my kids will not get to experience how great life was back then. Keep up the good work guys, love the show!
I don't remember where the "Sorry Dave" came from.
I thought we might lose the game, when NW got down close. I was just waiting for one or two big plays by them. The game scared me all the way.
Worth watching just for the Bullwhip comment!
I always thought if Callahan would have been willing to let Cosgrove go, he might have been here longer.
I’d buy a Knighton day shirt
Don't downplay Bos second time here. I remember distinctly Sip writing how Bo didn't have the players he had in 2003 on defense. This change is quite equivalent in my opinion minus Suh.
K State used to load up with jucos to win. However, only had em for one to two years. Thus, encountered several horrible years in between juco recruiting.
South Carolina is royally SUCKING since Satterfield has left.
Listened to entire show. You guys are great. Thanks!
I have a highly controversial opinion that will probably make some people angry. I like Travis Justice. He's great. So sorry.
Love this show! I’ve been listening to you two since way back on Sports Soundoff. Rob do you remember when you were challenged to block a guy in the show? Who was the guy? You handled him.
