I think this is the perfect movie series for a complete reboot. As good as the storyline is, it's very hard to watch and enjoy the poor quality. Definitely should just start over, and they wouldn't have to scrap the 28 months later.

I think it will pick up from Paris and show Europe fall first and then the world over the next 28 months then a test subject sent to the US for military subject purposes will cause a mutation to become airborne leaving the US to fall last while the next 28 years is about recovering while fending off those who turn from the mutated strain, leaving only a few who are truly immune

I thought this was the scariest fictional infection, unitl they dropped The Sadness. Almost like The Crossed comics, which makes zombies or the Rage infection look like childs play.
