How we launched without an engine – Project Brupeg Ep.326

Brupeg is officially launched!
Please consider supporting the project each week with a few dollars https://www.patreon.com/join/Brupeg?

In part two, we take you back through the last two days of the prep for launch, right up to her release into the wild (ish).
It was a chaotic and busy two days, and it all happened faster than we expected. The team is having a little rest before duncan arrives for another intensive week of work to get the Cummins 855 started. Then we are onto the final in water engine alignment, chock fast 2.0 and hopefully sea trials to follow shortly afterwards.

Thank you to everyone that helped get us here and for the team that helped during the two days of launches Duncan, Julie, Tom, Trev, Tony, Brent, Bruce, the yard team and the awesome Patrick in his Red Tug Solonika.

Well thats the first job done; build and launch boat… onto the next job.

Thank you everyone for watching and making this possible

Jess, Dame, Birk and Baby (i’m a pirate) Cat

  3. Congratulations, so good to see after all this time and effort. Although, seeing BRUPEG out of water for all that time, it does look a little weird in the water. You've lost half yer boat there mate. : )

  6. Wonderful job! I’m curious about your anti-fouling paint. It seems that almost anything toxic enough to keep barnacles and slime from growing on the boat was too toxic for the marine environment.

And how do you prevent electrolysis?

  7. this is getting really exciting :). just a question, (may require a politicians response lol), with having patreon round tables ( bless all the patreons for helping make this happen, wish i could be one, (will check my budget again πŸ™‚ , is it like a strata body where the body has the major say of what happens and where money is spent and the tenant not so much ? if you know what i mean. I'm sure you have a great round table that allows you to move forward without too much interference and i certainly understand that they have a vested interest to see Brupeg achieve her goals, but am curious how the strucure works. cheers Frank, look fwd to seeing "steaming" around the globe soon
