  1. I can also recommend the Netflix-series “Dragons: Race to the Edge”, which is more HtTYD goodness, going deeper in the characters. Chronologically it takes place between movie 1 and 2

  2. "It's a pity Hiccup didn't kill it when he had the chance."
"Pity? It was pity that stayed Hiccup's hand."

Also, viking is a verb, not a noun. As for why animated films fill you with emotions, that's simple; you're Human.

  3. If you enjoyed this one, then you in store for a wild ride! Personally, the HTTYD trilogy is by far, the best set of films I have ever seen. It is truly a masterpiece in every aspect, and I couldn't have been more proud of the way it turned out. All the way down to the goosebump filled soundtrack (especially Forbidden Friendship), to Toothless' movements. I loved it all, and I'm excited that you still have 2 other movies to watch and I subscribed so I don't miss it! This first movie really pulled at my heart strings, and 12 years later, it still does.

  4. Also you literally talked over an important moment in the beginning of the movie and the wonder why he went looking for toothless hears something my parents told me if I talk during the movie do it when nobody in the movie is talking or better pause the movie when your watching it if you have something to say that way you don't miss out on important things in the movie

  5. Also his father isn't a terrible person he has a lot of responsibilities to look after and protect his tribe and its difficult for him to raise his son and that he can't believe his son was on the dragons side that he feels betrayed but in the end they change for the better so no hate for stoick

  6. Still my favorite series of movies. I didn't see any of them until shortly before the 3rd movie was released. I'd pretty much given up on Dreamworks and thought these were just going to be more of the same; cheap gags in an unmemorable movie. Boy was I wrong. 2nd and 3rd movies also wonderful.
