  1. I mean you can be broke with 500k roubles left. But my advice of not having fear is that you always have scav to get free loot. Use your scav to your advantage and try to get out every raid to get your money back. Learn the loot guides on each map. Where's the good things. Don't take risky fights as player scav if you are broke. And remember to survive first and fight later. You are more likely to make more money every raid if you survive your scavs.

  2. Last wipe I had huge gear fear and would literally hide for half the raid. This wipe I just focused on doing tasks and learning woods stash runs and that pretty much eliminated my gear fear since I know I can just spam woods runs and easily make more money. Also I run scavs whenever possible since that’s pretty much free money if you just go to a map where you know where most the stashes are. Unlocking the flea is huge too, since most items will likely net you close to 10k. Thanks for another great guide my guy, they’re always super helpful and to the point

  3. Objective based Gameplay is a very good tip, i started doing this and man does it help, if you start wander off in this game with no set goals or pre-planned route you just die. And if you go your route and its looted just extract and go in to a new raid. Tarkov is such a good shooter that i think old battlefield and mil-sim players are missing out big time if they dont play tarkov

  4. i disagree with almost everything you ever say, you will still die to a corner camping rat with an m9a3 and pst gzh with ur 500k kit and he will take it and extract. bringing in gear doesnt solve any issues and actually makes you alot slower and more loud, you are essentially a walking loot box waiting to be penetrated with a god tier gun or some crappy budget pistol or bolt action. also this game is full of hackers.

  5. I have almost gotten over gear fear. my only problem when running high end gear isn't to die in a fair fight, it's when I die due to bullshit. like bad timing. or a guy camping and getting me from 75m away without me ever noticing him. how do I come over this?

  6. My reason for gear fear is that I'm not as good at aiming as I used to be in my younger years. I do take on other players but usually end up on the dead end of my fights. It would be nice to play on a team but not many gamers are open to all ages as I found out in Insurgency Sandstorm but that doesn't keep me from playing. I kinda like solo play but I would have less gear fear if I played as a team. Not to tell my age but I started on Atari games then my first FPS game was Half-Life & Quake multiplayer then on the countless hours of CS. My wife thinks I shouldn't still be playing games but sorry I will always be a gamer until I die.

  7. I kind of have some sort of gear fear I think… When I play solo I run 99% of the time nothing but scav runs. but when I play in a squad of 3 to 5 people, I usually buy the cheapest level 4 plate carrier (uley tan from ragman level 2, costs 55k rubls) to go with ratnik, good headset and pretty cheap gun usually with very light modding. I have like 5 trooper armors, some AVS and VT-110 rigs in my stash but I refuse to use them, same as more expensive weapons I usually don't bring. So mostly the guns I run with are SMGs (ump, mp5 or ppsh), Op-SKS, vepr 136, or saiga with more often than not very light modding (like holosight and foregrip, or PSO scope for sks). I won't go out of my way to add silencers, other muzzle brakes, or changing other parts of the gun except the handguard and/or dust cover to get rails. Then I only bring out the minimium amount of meds too, like a car medkit with hemostat, and then I have extra salewa in gamma. No nades and usually ammo too is rather cheap, like 7.62×39 PS, 9mm quakemaker, and 8.5mm magnums for shotguns… And right now, at this time of the wipe I'm around level 24, and my overall stash value is above 40m rubls.

I always keep telling myself that I suck at the pvp in this game which is one core part of my gear fear, as I keep telling myself that I won't win the fights with good loadouts cos the enemies have the skill, so I'm better off taking just good enough loadouts not to be useless in teamfights, and not to get killed by scavs all the time. I have no map awarness (like where enemies could even possibly be, in what bush or behind what corner) and I have always been really crap in any first person shooter games, mainly the shooting part. So it usually takes for me waaaay too long to do any kind of kill PMC quests, tho today by some sheer godlike miracle I mowned down 3 PMCs in a row in woods. 2 with Mosin (from less than 10 meters away, they both had mosins too) and third one I sprayed with mp7 cos that hero ran out of shotgun ammo and tried to knife me… And the very next raid after that I got lost from my squad, and I found another person with m700 in less than 10 meters away from me, and again I had mosin. The other guy blacked my arm, I shot once (dunno if I even hit) then he shot again, hit me to thorax and leaving it on 3 hp. I thought screw this, switched to mp7 once again and mowned him down before he got 3rd shot off. Those two raids really gave me a nice boost of self confidence for the rest of the day at least, and I finally completed Friend from the west part 1 xD

  8. I felt really hardcore considering it, cause a lot of my homies that I am in discord with, normally play solo still, felt it was too sweaty. But I made a literal sheet of each types of deaths/scenarios I got myself into and wrote them down each time, basically like a counter. From there on I would be conscious of what exactly I was normally running into, and that slowly each day helped me get over those jumps in certain things

  9. Soo, I don't mind losing the gear what i hate is when i see my target and I can't even hit them cause my aim sucks or I don't even see them and just die outta know where. I've tried using kovaak but didn't see much improvement cause I can't get the settings the same as i have in tarkov.

  10. The reason why I have gear fear cause I know I’m not very good at the game. Map knowledge, controlling recoil, getting in the fights and etc. I don’t want to loose my good gear due to lack of skill. Until I get better and start winning fights with just skills alone then I’ll probably feel better running my good gear

  11. I don't think I've ever had 5million rubles in the bank. Perhaps I should empty my scav boxes. I tend to keep any and every thing related to quests and hideout expansion, regardless of how far off before they are needed.

  12. I have a specific kind of gear fear, Hacker Gear Fear. It keeps happening and it sucks.

I start out feeling defeated by a hacker before the raids even launch, so I do runs with just a Five-Seven and a momex. Zero to Hero runs are fun anyway right? Plus the hackers won't target me if I don't have anything of value.

I do a few runs, get a few W's. Confidence builds up, start running kits again, don't see any hackers and start winning more cause I've got better load outs, feeling good.

20 raids later and I'm back up to running meta and then boom, tapped through a wall and there goes my 800k load out into a hackers pocket. And just like that I'm back to the Five-Seven, and the cycle repeats.

  13. “resorting to cheap loud outs when you have millions of roubles and spend them on nothing.”
Me last wipe with ~30 mil constantly rolling out with mosin, lvl 4 armor, no helmet: Huh, 🤔.
