For the longest time, we had no idea that the area around Hoover Dam has so many awesome hidden gems, one of which is the Arizona Hot Springs also known as Ringbolt Hot Springs. If youโve done Gold Strike Hot Springs, the Arizona Hot Springs trail is a lot easier, but the views are also spectacular. While Gold Strike Hot Springs is located on the Nevada side of the Colorado River, Arizona Hot Springs, as its name suggested, is located on the Arizona side. Youโll have to work for it to get there, but youโll be rewarded with gorgeous views of the clear blue water from the Colorado River, colorful slot canyons, and beautiful pools of therapeutic hot springs.

Las Vegas NV. Troop 96 did this hike at night and in the Summer of 1976. Looks different in the daytime for sure. And they finally replaced that rusty ass ladder!

Remember stopping at the Arizona H S with the Japanese exchange student with the boat. Met a couple of hikers that ran out of water. But we had ice cold watermelon and cold drinks. Then gave em a boat ride to willow and drove them back to there car at the trailhead. That was before they closed the trail in the hot season.

nowadays theres a staircase there. no more ladder. this is my favorite trail here in vegas.

I have taken this hike a few times and have visited Gold Strike canyon many times.
Did you know there is a cave north of where Gold Strike Canyon meets the River? The cave is actually an old tunnel made by engineers testing the canyon walls to see if the dam could be built there, but there was too much hot spring water flowing into the tunnel, so they abandoned it and built the dam further upriver.
People have dammed up the lower portion of the cave entrance to collect the spring water. The tunnel goes far enough into the canyon wall that it gets pitch black inside.
