I used this method (freeze and beat it 3 times) and then i parry instantly. Nearly 100%, parry was successful, after that i just beat it about 3-4 times again. This method will save your mana quite a few.
I cannot get the frozen shot to consistently come out, it either does the regular want or regular dagger freeze (which uses up 10x more magic). What am I doing wrong?
I don't know if this was changed in a patch, but it wasn't as easy as it looked in the video (damage nerfed? mana recovery nerfed?). But it was useful anyway. In the end, I beat the Heir abusing lures/decoys (6 of them).
I really like this game, but these bosses are something else. I literally had to cheat to kill the scavenger boss. They deal WAY too much damage and are too hard to kill. I'm not looking for an easy fight, but when you have to do this 10+ times, it's too hard. The only boss that was reasonable to deal with was the siege engine.
ok, the patch makes this method unusable now. Best technique I found was the 3ice3 combo. Freeze, hit three times. Dash sideways as she attacks, then dash forward towards her and hit another 3 times. Then, freeze and repeat. Also, even if u change potions to magic, is not enough for the 2 phases. I went with 7 potions, and had to use 3 extra berry’s for the magic to last both phases. Equip the dagger to shorten magic casting for the ice, speed movement and stamina recovery
Just use Decoys (The item looks like a little Fox doll) in conjunction with the Tincture (Attack Up, Def Down) relic + a Hot Pepper (Attack Up). The Heir will be so distracted by the decoys that you can hit her without concern and cut her HP down super fast. I used four decoys in total, two for each Phase.
This still works as of February 2023. After freezing her and after she does her dash and attack combo, you can land a few more blows to her. Then just rinse and repeat until you defeat her. I probably only used like 5 or 6 magic bottles to defeat her 2 phases.
I found out a way to cheese this boss buy like 5-7 clones of yourself so the heir will attack them and then just keep attacking the heir after you run out eat some berries and keep on shooting the heir then you should win
If you want to fight this boss you can beat them easily by using the slow time hourglass, tinciture, and the peril attack ring. this gives you major damage at the cost of health but this does not matter with the hourglass making dodging trivial.
I was stuck but this helped me a lot thanks…
helpful
A good tip that u guys can use to make this fight even more easier:
buy some fox dummies. They can be used to taunt the boss. So the boss wont atack you. Cuz he will only run after the dummie.
Lmaooo nah you just have to dodge his attacks
I think this is not working anymore, you can only hit her twice now. Also now it uses lot more mana, so it's not a valid tactic anymore…

Thank you!
Well this looks easier than trying to parry which is the other major strat.

Love when you press both buttons and it just decides not to register the other button and fail the ice shot.

I am fully maxed and I run out of mana and potions WAY before you seem to, but it kind of works …
Inverted ash is annoying as fuck. Why do I have to choose between recovering mana and recovering health??

Why is it your stamina doesn't seem to go down and mine is depleted before the first round ends?
This isn’t super efficient because of the loss of damage. Takes forever. Had better luck with damage up and health potions.

Wow I love your video, very good.

Use parry
The freeze method doesn't work on gamepass. Every time you get the third hit, you take damage.
This strategy doesn't work anymore – Tunic upped the mana cost of a frostbolt
kind off funny watching this knowing its not the true ending

The fact that magic is so laughably op in this game that it reduces the sword to redundancy speaks volumes about the crappy combat design.
Just buy a ton of magic veggies and victory is yours.
That's not a test of skill, it's pay to win lol.
You make it look so easy.
