Something I just came across in my own playthrough. If you take the flashlight, but don't take the security badge, when you distract Sun with the mess he will instead use Moon's raspy voice.

This only makes me believe the theory of the two being separate animatronics it’s just the daycare has a very unique way of switching the two out when the lights go off/on even more (basically I believe that almost every single floor panel that’s closer to the big doors has a downwards platform and the one that sunrise is on heads down so he and moondrop can switch. All in all my main theory is that they’re just separate animatronics with a very unique way of switching between the two. I know this theory is 100% incorrect but at this point it’s more of the headcannon and then a Theory, it initially started out as a theory with no evidence and it eventually became a headcannon
