How Powerful is the Mando Fleet? – Full Breakdown

We’ve seen what appears to be the full strength Mandalorian fleet in the Mandalorian Chapter 23. But how powerful are these ships. We’ll cover all that and more on today’s Star Wars video.

  1. Here's the trick when showing capital ships. You do not make the entire thing in focus. If you're looking at something with size, you CAN'T see the whole thing crisp and clear as some parts are a distance away. Fuzz out the edges a little or more depending how large you want it to appear and if you're looking through an atmosphere or in space where there's less distortion.

  2. Wonder if they are gonna bust out any of the "Really Big Guns" from the Mandalorian Roaster one of these days? The Kadelseii Dreadnuaght, Kadelbe Battleship, or even on a the smaller side of things Crusader Gunship or Star Vipers.

  3. The cruiser should have Ties in it.

What concerns me more than ship numbers is how many Mandalorians are there, even with the ones Bo got back they're maybe 50 total? They need everyone they can get at this point. Boba Fett and any trustworthy helpers he can bring. Try getting republic assistance, though we know that's not easy due to red tape.

Also do the Imperial remnant ships have an override that Gideon can use to disable them? Are the Gauntlets safe from it, because we saw it happen in an earlier episode.
They better plan on it being a possibility.

  4. Be kinda cool Post S3 (assuming they retake Mandalore) to see Bes'uliik star fighters reenter canon, can have a lot of fun with the concept of Star Fighters made out of Beskar

  5. A bit of a tangent, but I just want to talk about one aspect of this show I've really enjoyed, that being the prevalence of on-vehicle camera shots (The 'camera' being mounted on the wing or other part of the ship with some slight shuddering motion effects). I really love these shots as they appear in various parts of Mandalorian and in Rogue One for really tying in the immersion. The moments like with the Gauntlet doing attack runs or Tie Strikers lining up on Blue Leader at Scarif are just so subtly beautiful and I just want to voice my appreciation for these small moments.

  6. Just a point of clarification on Arquitens style ships. They have four dual Turbolaser Turrets. Two dorsal and two central. Additionally, our Arquitens here should also have quad laser cannons however they are mounted in the sides and are retractable for atmospheric flight. So who knows if we will actually see them but it is a possibility.

  7. This fleet is the Night Owl fleet which I see as being more of a militant corps than that of the Death Watch who operated as bounty hunters, so it makes sense their fleet would be more uniform than if say Death Watch had a fleet which would be of a bunch of random snub fighters and gunships.
Maybe clan Wren and Fenn Wrau will turn up with Mandalorian cruisers

  8. The absolute strongest thing going for this fleet is that the ships have plot armor. In the pirate attack in both EP1 and EP5, and the TIE fighter battle in EP3, the N-1 and Bo's ship don't even get hit once. Thats the best defense this entire fleet has.

  9. As aesthetically pleasing as the Corsair’s destruction was (I was seriously satisfied with that scene), it’s true that it would’ve been more useful intact.

Also, why the heck did the Mandalorians only unite the Children of the Watch and the Nite Owls? There was all this talk of gathering the “lost tribes,” and the only “lost tribe” we found were Bo Katan’s Nite Owls. With a fleet, they could’ve easily tracked down more factions, tribes and groups.

  10. @EckhartsLadder what if a super powerful force user(maybe star killer somehow) was sent to the Geonosis arena in episode 2? Could it have prevented
the separatists from seceding? Maybe they would have used battle meditation

  11. Yeah. Keep to content like this. Grifty, made up and right up your alley! Politics is a little too hard for a imbecile like you to get when you don't understand what "government funded media" is and how it's the news arm of the government! Just stay here, little Ecks! It's safer and easier to comprehend. 🙂

  12. I don´t think Moff Gideon even has a star destroyer. He might have his Arquitens-class-Lightcruisers and Gozanti-cruisers and TIE-Interceptors and -Bombers, but i really don´t think, his fleet includes even a single star destroyer. A fleet including arquitens-class and Gozanti-class-cruisers should be enough to control the most planets in the outer rim without calling the new republic on the plan.

  13. I'm very afraid that they are just going to poof away many of those ships. TV shows have a really bad habit of showing powerful warships be blasted to pieces by a single salvo of whatever happens to fire at them first, with no respect for how formidable the ships in question actually are. I hope that Moff Gideon's TIEs don't just do one pass and take out half the fleet.

TIEs bombers carry powerful weapons, but are slow and fragile, the interceptors are fast, but they don't carry missiles (at least, they shouldn't, I don't trust the show writers to know that though) and even their four cannons shouldn't really be a threat to the larger ships. I hope they depict an epic battle, but I'm afraid they are going to make Gideon's forces almost win because he's the bad guy and that's dramatic rather than because they came with a superior force and the Mandalorians had to claw victory from the jaws of certain defeat.

  14. Some thing I do want to say. I’m actually mildly irritated that Gideon had a derivative of the Arquitens cruiser, rather than something more interesting. Well, this is the first time we’ve seen, and arquitens in live action. It feels like a missed opportunity to introduce one of the more “famous” post war imperial war lord ships. The victory class star destroyer, which to this day has not had a single on screen appearance outside of a few early video games. Yet was apparently thrawn’s favorite ship in legends or the carrack cruiser. Which, outside of mods for Empire at war has never had an on screen appearance whatsoever.
