One of the recent issues we have had to deal with as one of the first few generations to grow up on YouTube is seeing our online childhood idols fall so far. Whether itās the slow destruction of their own lives like SkyDoesMinecraft, or an immediate action that completely takes viewers by surprise like the story of Jinbop, seeing those icons whom we associate with nostalgia to have such a grand downfall can often be hard to watch.
PopularMMOs, known in real life as Patrick Julianelle, was once one of those internet icons ā making hundreds of Minecraft videos with his wife Jen to an audience of over 17 million subscribers. His various online videos reviewing and playing modded Minecraft have garnered billions of views ā and his content often is credited with ābringing upā the kids who watched him. But his life since then has just been him going further and further into a spiralling pit of despair.
Whilst Pat hasnāt been exposed for anything close to the crimes of other Minecraft YouTubers, the ongoing decay of his own life and mental health has been a concerning journey that raises questions about Patās possible abusive actions as well as his personal struggles in the public eye. So today, myself and Turkey Tom are going to take a look at this fallen titan of the Minecraft community ā and tell you how PopularMMOs ruined his life.

BASEEEDDD
Pat is good at gaslighting his audience. I fell for it for years and even defended him multiple times. Recently, I was on Reddit and saw Pats ex talking about Pats actions. She was the one who was smart enough to have video proof. Something that others didnāt seem to have. The crazy thing is she was a girl that we never got introduced to and the timeline of their relationship wouldāve been between his current gf and Liz maybe with some overlap. She had videos of him recently too because he had gained weight after his breakup with Liz.
Pat and Jen got married young and she was Pats first real girlfriend. There was one other girl before Jen in high school and Pat would writer about her in his yearbook quote. Pat and Jen never left the house. They spent their 20s making videos every day and only talking to each other. Pat mustāve got bored of it even though it was his idea and he started the channel. Both Pat and Jen presented to the channel that they were both shy and thatās why they never left. Jen IS shy and Pat isnāt. The only thing is Jen was mature and Pat wasnāt mature enough to support her. Jen gave him an ultimatum. If they didnāt work it out and start a family before they were in their thirties, she was done. Pat refused to grow up and they divorced. While he was dating Eleni, Jen settled down and moved on with her husband. Pat met friends who are younger than him and even dated girls ranging from 19-25. Heās in his mid 30s. Pat went to clubs, did drugs, and then he started cheating on his girlfriends. He would do coke out of the bras of exotic dancers. He would get drunk and make out with other girls. Some listed those videos on his IG story once. He gaslit every one of his girlfriends online. He told the world every girlfriend had mental issues and would hit him. The girlfriend he hid posted a video of him throwing glass at her and shattering it. She posted it on TikTok and it only got seen by a few people. Some people think heās a good guy. Heās not.
OMG YES. THERE HE IS!
I still watch em, he's not that bad.
ZANG THAT OUTRO WAS COOL. What a smooth transition.
He's been doing alot better recently if anything it seems like your beating a dead horse
i read the comments before watching the video, honestly thought this would be about their divorce but apparently it's worse? well, back to watching the video
Bro I grew up with Pat and Jen, I stopped watching and paying attention to his channel a few months after their divorce, Itās so sad to hear how far he has fallen
This and Cobanermani456 man idk what happened to these guys but its just so rough to watch
God I remember watching them all the time man I miss the lucky block videos so much bro
"ELENI AND EX WIFE VS ME" is crazy
Idk about collabing with TurkeyTom, love your content but I'd stay away from Tom if possible
i love popularmmos, it was damn shame
I think its bull honestly, innocent until proven guilty
It's sad to see what letting yourself go can do, and a good lesson to everyone of what to avoid. Pat was physically healthy for so long only to be destroyed by alcohol and god knows what else, substance abuse like that is such a depressing fall, and that's without bringing any other action to light. I want to believe he was innocent, but all the evidence shows he's likely guilty of at least 50% of what he was accused. I don't think it's fair to only say Pat is in the wrong though, Eleni was also not a very good person and Liz seems to not be fully innocent either, I think everyone involved deserves blame for what they've done. Stampy, Dan, and Squid won where others like Pat, Sky, and plenty others failed. It's a sad look into how bad some people really are and that fame can be very dangerous.
This story is so sad. I had a rare opportunity to play with jen and pat before they got popular. Loved these not a fan of mine craft but pat and jen made it awesome. Me and my brother use to watch popular mmos good times.
I like the colors in your pfp
Man if I had three wishes one would be to make their marriage work out and they had children of their own
Damn, i stopped watching popularmmo's a long time ago, this is deep
shoulda finished that psychology degree. how ironic
atleast he didnt touch kids š¤·āāļø
š
this video failed just because it includes Tom, otherwise very good vid š
I watched them a lot when i was a child, it was sad to hear about all of this. someone you grew up watching seeing them become a worse and worse person just hurts.
This guy had the dream life set up for himself with ease, all he had to do was not be a man-child and accept the responsibility of being a dad
Ever since his divorce to Jen, Pat's life has gone downhill. That being said, I'm glad that Jen is doing well, and is enjoying motherhood.
If I had a dollar for every time a YouTuber was caught being problematic Iād be rich
thank god danTDM didn't fall to this…
Call me dumb, call me whatever, but I believe Pat that he is the innocent/most innocent party between him and Liz.
Edit: For context, I mean overall. Not exclusively the chasing part.
sad
I used to watch popularMMOs as like 6 years old i loved their videos sucks to see how it is now.
Jen was truly the best person for pat
Dang I remember spending days on end watching popularmmos videos. my personal favorite was the zombie apocalypse series thing and the game where theyre agents to santa oh yeah and also the mod showcases, the tsunami one in particular. and there was that iconic "Hey guys!" that jen would always do at the start of their videos
Did bro say he put on 70 pounds of PURE muscle??
Beating a dead honse
outro was cool
I just think he shouldn't have publicized his personal life after breaking up with Jen
Ha nice
i hate you
Tell turkey tom to do another colab with Ruben sim or I'm killing myself
This is probably the first video covering this situation that believes pat is an abuser, cuz almost every other instance people say dudes ex was lying the whole time or both parties were at fault. Anyways
Its sad to see the drastic change both jen and pats life took, i wonder how different everything wouldve turned out if pat agreed or also wanted to have a child, cuz christ after the breakup it was all downhill until he chilled out and started his podcast
