  1. Just another idiot & ignorant Thug Cop trying to exact a BS non existing law w/o a judge’s signed warrant to draw blood on an unconscious patient! $500,000 settlement was’t good enough b/c this thug cop should have been fired, arrested & charged with illegal blood draw!

  2. This is the case that has moved me to learn more about consent and search and seizure laws.
I always felt that this started out the PD trying to cover their butts on a "Wrongful harm" of Nurse Wobbles' patient as a result of the police chase.
The fact that it turned into a couple of cops not liking to be told no by a someone protecting her patient. I think that they singled her out just to be bullies.

  3. I’m glad they’re correct and some of those guys they need to learn the law if they’re gonna be policeman and I don’t want them taking my blood out that’s a private matter even a blood test is a private decision up to your own conscience

  4. Very interesting that they wanted a blood draw on a victim who only became an injured victim because of a high speed police chase that led to a fiery collision. The horrible arresting officer was probably so aggressive to get a blood draw for the department because the department was, VERY knowingly, doing a Hail Mary in advance of the lawsuit they would surely receive by the innocent victim/victim's family. Sickening.

  5. This was a prime example of how officers do not have your best interests or rights in mind when they are going about their business. This is a detective that thought he could just get a blood draw from any citizen at the beckoning of a healthcare professional who actually went to school to learn her craft, including the relevant laws — not some 2.5 month glorified pistol course with the word "academy" plaster across it.

  6. I'd do the exact same thing. You're not getting to MY patient without the proper checks and balances. Take me to jail I'll still have a job then next day, will you?

  7. Another kudo's to the fantastic nurse. The cops? Just the usual entitled shitz who think their word should be treated as law, and without question, even when they are lying through their teeth.

  8. "I am not going to argue" because I get off arresting this nurse because RESPECT MY AUTHORITY. "I have been told to do this due to exigent circumstances…. yea, exigent, big word people."

  9. Every time I hear about this case I get so angry. The fact that both of these officers were so very wrong about the blood draw and their anger at the nurse declining to fall in line and do what they ordered makes it even more reasonable for citizens to fear the police. If this could happen to her the way it did, with the hospital trying to explain to the cops too – what makes any citizen comfortable with interacting with the police. If I'm driving in my car alone and someone else causes an accident , I have no guarantee that a police officer has been trained appropriately or that he will follow his training and I would be treated lawfully. These things are becoming common place and I would not call the police even to help me. I would rather take my chances without the police.

  10. The $500k needs to come from the individual officers involved, including the Lt that apparently gave the arrest order to the detective, with no money from the taxpayers. Start paying settlements from the officers' pensions/retirement fund, but only after removing all public contributions and any gains from those contributions. Violating a citizen's rights needs to be painful and result in financial ruin. Otherwise, there is no consequential imperative for officers to learn, or at least appreciate, the law and the power they wield within it. End qualified immunity as well.

  11. That Lt bloviating about knowing the law so well merely because he's been a cop for a while is like that nurse offering a cancer diagnosis and a treatment plan simply because she's been a nurse for a while. That's not the Lt's lane. Yes, he should know the law, but doing something wrong for 22 years does not make it correct. Clearly, he got into his position by playing ball and not by studying the law enough to know when he's out of his depth, as a nurse would be in offering a diagnosis and treatment plan.

  12. This nurse gives me hope for our society!
She didn't even know the man that these pigs were trying to hurt, but she still put herself in danger for him and stood up for what is right. Thank you for your bravery🙏

  13. Cop says if we're doing wrong there are civil penalties, you did do wrong AND the TAX PAYERS paid for your illegal actions . When illegal acts are committed the people who break the law, those cops should be held personally liable

  15. The indirect communication is so aggressive! Talking over her is one of the more obvious ones, along with the pointing. He's also acting before he's talking when he grabs at her, before saying he's arresting her.

    Fucking bully.
