  1. It feels like you are trying to make the teams well rounded and are basing them off of end of story versions of themselves, my biggest issue is their growth at forming… if im looking at end game potential but starting personalities and growth… I would say teams closer to this

    Guy/Lee, hinata, shikamaru

    Kuronai, Sakura, neji, ino

Naruto, shino, tenten, with the sarutobi

Then throw Sasuke, choji and wolf boy on a team with Kakashi

The first works to create a well rounded team that helps their personality grow without sacrificing too much capability in any direction.

The second is again a solid person to worry about for ino and Sakura while keeping them fighting capable, neji scary alone? Imagine genjutsu forcing you into the rotation, or your mind making you think you are moving away into cover when you are really moving closer? Genjutsu could hold someone just as well for into as a physical thing while neji is causing havoc.

Third team would give naruto a guy to look up to and aspire to that would temper his chaotic nature a bit while shino plans and uses his bugs to orchestrate the battlefield while the enemy is distracted by thousands of clones and kunai raining from the sky, tenten would be insane cover and could deliver insects as well as her kunai. Solid personal and technical growth all around.

The last team is a shadowy front liner that isn't afraid of taking potshots, a solid tank of a man and an ego maniac that can track down any target, they would grate on eachother constantly, but that would better develop their personalities imo. Their capability would be through the roof for most encounters shy of genjutsu, which Kakashi could help them learn to defend against…

    Then again, just my thoughts

  2. In terms of fighting maybe team 8 made the least sense but I think the initial point of putting Hinata, Shino and Kiba together was meant to group and teach future trackers/scouts all at the same time. All their abilities are good for tracking/scouting, kiba has akamaru, hinata has full vision, and shino has bugs to mark people. I dont think they were put together to do combat well, but that they could all be taught similar skills that are useful to them and their teammates at the same time, since teaching scouting/tracking to someone like naruto or chouji wouldnt be very useful with their skillsets.

  3. So…

Team 7: Naruto, Tenten, and Shikamaru with Asuma as the mentor (wind style fits them all with Naruto's chakra pools able to benefit Tenten and Shikamaru able to strike enemies from behind)
Team 10: Ino, Rock Lee, Shino with Might Guy as the mentor (Ino's possession technique can be made greater with Shino's strategic mind and bug powers while Rock Lee and Might Guy can teach them all hand-to-hand combat)
Team 9: Sakura, Sasuke, and Kiba with Kurenai as the mentor (Sakura could benefit greatly with genjutsu, and so can Sasuke, while Kiba has good recon abilities)
Team 3: Neji, Hinata and Choji with Kakashi as the mentor (elemental boosts can all three members here)

  4. I think ino might be a better choice then tenten, here me out. Ino’s family runs a flower shop and having her learn poisons for her mid to long range. Add her heals, I think that’s awesome. Keep Shika and Naruto and Asuma as sensei. I won’t lie, I got this team from a fan fiction “ Better left unsaid”.

  5. Naruto with Tenten Would actually work very well with his clones, considering he can use them as a distraction, giving her an opening for attacking with her weapons and considering he also turned himself into the demon wind Shuriken he can also do that with her weapons, and find a way to deceive enemy teams

  6. Your new arrangement of team 7 gave me an idea and I have no where else to post it so here it goes…

Your idea is that Naruto can act as a battery and use his vast amounts of chakra to power TenTen and Shikamaru. This makes sense with what we know Naruto eventually learns to do but there's no way they could have predicted when making the teams that Naruto would develop his 9-tails-cloak. Therefore, this arrangement only makes sense if Asuma had a technique to share chakra in mind to teach Naruto from the beginning.

Keep in mind as well that while Naruto develops into the ultimate all-arounder, he starts out as a pure combatant. His rivalry with Sasuke and his desire to become the Hokage both push him in that direction since in young Naruto's mind the Hokage is the best fighter who can defend and protect his people. However, without Sauska to compete with and Asuma's guidance, I think Naruto's perspective would change.

This theoretical chakra sharing technique would obviously require a high level of chakra control so I think that would be Naruto's main focus with training. With Naruto acting as the battery for team 7, I think Shikamaru's strategy would be to keep Naruto in the back while the other three (and Naruto's clones) do all the fighting. If an enemy takes the real Naruto out then the whole team would collapse without his energy.

And since Naruto would be staying out of the direct fighting and would have developed high levels of chakra control, I think it would be natural for him to take up the role of the team's healer. With his ungodly huge amounts of chakra and the right training, I could see Naruto becoming an accomplished healer and slowly his perspective of the Hokage being the strongest fighter could shift to seeing the role as the one who saves the village through healing.

Along the way, Jiraiya would obviously check in on his godson and seeing him become an accomplished healer, I think Jiraiya would introduce him to Tsunade and she would eventually become his primary mentor.

  7. My one defense for Kakashi being a great role model for Sasuke was right before he left the village with the sound 4. That talk he had with Sasuke tied to a tree has stuck with me since I was 10 years old. It's too bad Sasuke had already made up his mind at that point.

As for choji learning elemental release, it wouldn't be possible for him while he's using his expansion, but a great tool for him to fall back on when using expansion jutsu isn't the optimal play. Expansion jutsu has already been stated to take a lot of Chakra (hence why he eats), on top of that choji only uses the more advanced techniques when he eats his chili balls until later on in the 4th great war. Using an elemental release while in expansion is essentially a one and done where he'd need to fall back to replenish his reserves.

  8. Ino with Shino, and Lee would’ve been funny in early Naruto. A self absorbed teen with a high opinion of her social standing being paired with the biggest “weirdos” of the school. Also Lee would be there to argue against Ino’s Sakura hate.

  9. I have this image in my head of Naruto summoning 50 clones and all of them lining up and picking out a different weapon that Tenten brought while Shikamaru is creating battle strategies for every single clone so they become a small militia

  10. I think pairing ino with a hyuga member would be better for a long range attack. Like what Ino and Hinata did in the war. Hinata is a close combat so she could be there with ino if she use her mind jutsu.

  11. Realistically, I believe a team of Kurenai as the head, Sakura, Choji, and Neji would be the most powerful team. Sakura grows up to be the psychically strongest ninja in the leaf, with choji being the second psychically strongest, and Neji being in top 5 greatest taijutsu users of his era. This team has great taijutsu, they have sakura who has healing (possibly genjutsu too should she learn from Kurenai), and neji with his byakugan for recon. I would’ve loved to see this team and feel they would’ve complimented one another greatly and pushed each other to great heights. That’s my take. 🫶🏽🫶🏽

  12. I get what you are doing but no. In the ninja world balance isnt a thing. Specialization would be paramount. So make a video making the best rekon team, the best fight team, the best infiltrate team, etc. 😊

  13. I like these. And to the elemental release for Choji, Earth or water would be best. They are both physical type jutsu.

You can say something like a massive tile wave or earthquake or rock/water bullet from a massive sized guy wouldn't be great. Maybe possibly some fuinjutsu.
