  1. Great review, Omar! Mapping this event is tricky, when choosing to integrate the stories. I think the mapping here, is porbably for the best. The minis and tie-ins are more like 'Tales of the House of M', and fine to read afterwards – to add depth to one's understanding of the world!

  2. I’ve always wanted an omnibus for this and it’s wild that it’s finally here. I would be thrilled if they ever release a Civil War omnibus, a Dark Reign and Siege omnis as well. Been looking forward to this overview and you killed it 🔥🔥🔥

  3. Great review thank you Omar. As a recent returnee to comics and a huge X fan this is one I’ve really been looking forward to. Really appreciate the steer about reading Avengers Disassembled and Astonishing first which I wouldn’t have done otherwise. Keep up the great work.

  4. I already own the House of M hardcover but I believe I will have to purchase this omnibus. As a completest I need everything. I wish I had picked up the Avengers Disassembled HC years ago.

  5. No more cookies! That's my resolution for the new year. And yeah, I've ordered this, looking forward to reading it again. One of the rare events where the consequences stuck around for more than 2 months after it ended.

  6. How…necessary *is*….Avengers Disassembled?…..I ask mostly because it seems as expensive as a sizeable omni, sadly, due to lack of reprints I assume. 😅
Or is it better read online than collected?

  7. As you said during the video, this is a very oddly produced event that is very difficult to build a reading order around that doesn't feel like it abandons the plot entirely for big chunks. The Spider-Man one in particular you called out is egregious in that regard and doesn't feel like it fits at all with the main event issues. So it's hard to get mad at the order for this one, and the hardcovers were so long out of print that they're absurdly expensive to get a hold of as well – if you're interested in the event, grab this up quick.

That said, please keep trying to use reading orders Marvel! The answer to weirdly written events is not to not try, it is to improve the writing coherency and relevance of the tie-ins in your events so that this isn't a problem in the first place. The recent AXE: Judgement Day event was fantastic in this regard, and when the omnibus eventually comes out, it deserves a proper reading order! I want to keep loving buying these expensive books, so please give it your best effort going forward.

  9. Regarding a "Civil War Omnibus", besides the main series there are something like 90 Civil War tie-ins so it would need two omnis at the very least. Perhaps the "Road to Civil War" tie-ins, Civil War #1-7, mini-series and one-shots in the main omni, and then all the tie-ins from ongoing series in a "Civil War Companion Omnibus"?

A single "Dark Reign Omnibus" is even more improbable. To collect absolutely everything would need a minimum of four omnis, but more likely it would be five or even six. Even just the various Dark Reign mini-series and one-shots would probably require two omnis.

  10. I'm surprised none of the sequel mini series by Christos Gage or the Secret Wars mini are in this. But maybe those can go into some sort of companion omni someday?

  11. I read this event concurrently with the New Avengers run. How much better would this read with the AXM issues added to the mix? I have the Whedon Omni, and I heard it is a great 1 and done read.

  12. Omar do you know why Marvel did not add X-men (1991) 177-181 issues ? I think it is important for the story as an aftermath along with decimation day after, also it was included in the house of m decimation paperback
