MP Motorsport driver Dilano van’t Hoff has sadly passed away after an accident at Spa, FRECA confirms.
Van’t Hoff was just 18 years old.
Everyone sends their condolences to his family, friends, the team and everyone at the track.
We don’t see the f1 cars having these side impact problems at much higher speeds so it’s Clearly car design issues. The track is just a track and it’s not the tracks fault for crying out loud. Motorsport is inherently dangerous people. A death every so often and the tracks gotta be changed yet thousands still dying of covid and no one cares.
Hubert and now this. I love racing but not when it is taking lives.
May this young man rest in peace and may his family be comforted! Life is a breath, may we enjoy existence in this world in the best possible way! At least he died doing what he loved! #RIP 🕊

Spa is no longer safe for the junior formulas. It’s also no longer safe for F1. I don’t think Spa will stay on the F1 calendar anymore which is sad but we don’t need one of the F1 drivers to die in an accident to realise that Spa is no longer safe. Don’t change the track, we see with Nürburgring that GT events keep the track alive and annual 24h races bring the track enough support. It’s time to swap Spa for something a little bit safer, perhaps Zolder could make the necessary adjustments to fit grade 1 standards if it hasn’t already.

PONER UNA O VARIAS SIRENAS ROJAS/NARANJAS ENCIMA DEL ROLLBAR, ALERONES, ETC EN CASO DE LLUVIA O SECO QUE SE VEA UN COCHE PARADO O ACCIDENTADO EN MITAD DE LA PISTA Y QUE REDUZCA LA VELOCIDAD DE LOS COCHES. Estos chicos no reducen la velocidad lo llevan en la sangre. Es una pista muy peligrosa, alta velocidad que le gusta a los pilotos, a mí en la TV si van más despacio mejor. Chicos muy jóvenes que han dejado el kart hace dos días y van con el acelerador a tope para ser uno o dos pilotos que subirán a la F-1. El resto no lo conseguirán aunque sean muy buenos pilotos. DEP a este chico que lo intentó. Lo dice un antiguo piloto de karting de los 80…
