Homeworld 3 Review

Homeworld 3 has finally come! Sands and Sinners! Will space magic truly prevail against the queen of the galactic security blanket? My PC and audio equipment is falling apart before my very eyes! My brain cannot process what it’s seeing! Maybe the real Kharak was the friends we made along the way.

  1. Ive noticed a trend of genocidal characters geting treated vastly differently depending on their immutable characteristics and the studio over the last 10 years or so. At first it bothered me a bit but now it's just really funny and I try to remember thise that are made the story since people communicate a lot about what they believe (or how insane they are) in the stories they create.

"Security blanket mega Hitler" that was great 😆

  2. Most modern games are written by morons that have failed to become screenwriters, and we have to endure their personal failings and virtue signaling instead of a good story a couple passionate gamers forged.

  3. I'm so mad that they added faces to Homeworld. Not having faces was THE ENTIRE POINT. It was a story that was GREATER than any one person. Homeworld is the story of a people and their struggles, not new anime waifu monthly delivered straight to your address in the uncanny valley. Get a grip.

  4. How dare you, she was stunning & brave! Stunning & Brave I tell you!

Yeah, it's what we get for continuing to buy products made by activists, not professionals. Hope it all burns down soon, so it can be reborn without the activism.

  5. It feels like this game takes its own painfully mid lore way too seriously. I want ship battles not to care about what faction colors I can paint on said ships, especially if I have to do my own research on hours of mild lore to even understand the symbols.

  6. Anyone else feeling like modern games (Mostly RTS like Siv, Homeworld, the Settlers ect.) feel like mobile game versions of there predecessors or is it just me? Streamlined down with fewer mechanics and a Cartoony Ass Artstyle.
like how the Modern Combat mobile games feeled like a version of CoD but in reverse.

PS: Sorry for my bad english

  7. This feels like the writers wanting to make a Ace Combat storyline with none of the charm and the insane meter going past fun and cool and landing back on stupid and lame

  8. At some point I wasn't sure if I was playing Homeworld reboot or watching Pixar movie about space heroes. It's a shame how bad whole plot was, they had plenty of storylines they could continue like expanding lore of Progenitors or gate to another Galaxy, even civil war led by religious fanatics influenced by some mysterious alien prophet could do well. Yet they just went for space magic and angry wine aunt flinging rocks at planets with her magical powers.

  9. Either the song playing in the intro is used in several different games or you got that from Rise of Nations and if so I just got the most unexpected blast from the past ever!

  10. After learning about these games from your previous video, it make me really sad that this third Homeworld is so bad…
I just hope that in maybe 10 or 20 years, I can ask one of our all powerfull AI to remake it better ^^
    Thanks for the video 🙂

  12. I know a lot of Mandy viewers probably also watch CV11 and I feel like a Brad Dourif Exorcist 3 clip could slip into this video at just about any second and fit.

  13. Man…. I was hopping HW3 wouldnt go down the "All great game series get killed off with their 3rd installment!"
….but here we are now… Executives/Writers killed off another game series.

  14. Ah, so it's the starwars-ification of another long running science fiction series, at least Asimov's foundation series is no longer alone in the "recent entry/adaptation that bastardised the spirit of the original" category anymore

  15. Your comment about the writer being in the "Did you actually played the game?" territory reminds me of Borderlands 2 and Anthony Burch. Burch allegedly didn't played Borderlands 1 when writing it and just reading the plot from the wiki, which is why he got some details incorrect or retconned in 2 (like how Bloodwing gender is different in 2, or how Roland acts so differently than he was in 1).

  16. I haven’t played these games but I’ve watched your videos on them several times and wow plastering a human face on everything really fucking sucks up until this game I’ve been imagining the strange forms that might be behind the alien voices but thats completely gone in this game. It feels so disconnected from the series beginnings, so strange
