  1. From what I'm seeing in the comments, this is an amazing game with just some questionable aesthetics.
I just love when some little fan project from a community that outsiders may find weird, is made with so much passion and competence

  2. The CEO is very popular and very passionate on their Talent protection so it's very cool. He even let go of 2 of his top earning talents and dropped the china audience to protect them. The community is also very cool, I think the parasocial thing was only a problem with one of the talents aand that talent was let go.

  3. The idol industry can get very toxic, but Vtubers are much much less so, the talents at Hololive have so much more freedom than real life idols, in both their personal lives and in the content they create, they could all have significant others and we'd be none the wiser since their irl appearances are unknown for the most part, unlike irl idols, they can be lewd, make jokes, they don't have to be super fit, they don't have to even be good at singing, it's much less stressful of a life for them, I also think that from a psychological perspective, the obvious physical disconnect really helps prevent that sort of thing, not to say there aren't still people like that, but I think virtual idols are a massive step forward for the idol industry, and for that, Hololive has my continued support

  4. Will say, final fantasy 9 is my favorite followed by 10. Just 9s story and music grabbed me more then the earlier games. As for ABS, i will admit to hating it compared to straight turn based from 10. However, my favorite turn based combat system would be the "time line" one from the grandia games. I see it more often in newer games, but if you want a few older, decent rpgs that let you manipulate your placement on a timeline to battle, Grandia is it

  5. Wow, such a cute game! I'm not well versed in the vtuber world so I don't know any of the style or references, but I really dig the aesthetics. I love manga and anything kawaii. 🙂 Thanks for showcasing it!

  6. Me: *clicked this to sate my hunger for more holocure content from different game channels

Expectation: holocure gameplay and anything related

Reality: audio essay about kpop, being v/youtubers, idols, parasocials with a gameplay video.

  7. 52:39 Best impression of a hardcore fan vtuber mad at someone who doesn't know the genre very well.
Give this man an medal, anyway thank you for showcase the game it's really good to the point saying it's bad it's not good in a way and of course it's a really "niche" kind of bullet heaven because emphasizes on the fandom especially with the hidden reference and Easter egg like that guy running through your screen is actually the Yago the person who is in charge of hololive, yes i do agree with your argument with this kind being a parasocial think or people just make a cult or more worse, at the end of the day it's for everyone to play and enjoy some different gameplay also it's free for everyone and will always be updated until hololive have no new vtuber debut which I doubt in future that is.that my two cent of speech hope you have a wonderful day (sorry if my English is bad)

  8. I get how it may seem weird, but you don’t really need to worry too much. Parasocial fans do exist in the Hololive community for sure and can be a problem, but this does not exist because of that side of fandom. The chief developer for the game, Kay Yu, is a professional animator who has worked in that capacity on big name anime and on known games like River City Girls. And he has a working relationship with a couple of the girls himself, having animated one of Hololive’s bigger music videos. This is the product of a talented professional with a steady job that keeps him quite busy and is really just a passion side project, which he refuses to even take donations to support. And the girls themselves all adore it.

  9. Just a note: if you're using a mouse, you can left click once to slave your aiming to the mouse (the white aiming triangle on the character will turn yellow), which will give you a lot more options in how to play.

  10. There is a little thing going around called "ToonTuber"
From what I have seen it is more or less an animated 2D char that tracks your reactions
Looks pretty cute tho. Maybe It is worth to look into it

  11. the "weirdness" of the game comes from the fact it is too well made for what an average fan game usually amounts to. as much as i really don't care about the vtubers and their communities, the game's very fun and i have little trouble divorcing this product from the people portrayed in them so i can enjoy it thoroughly

  12. Speaking of factory games
    Mindustry v7 is a thing
New campaign thats seperated from the v6 one so you could start with that one without doing the other one
Its alot more rts focused too with almost only attack maps

  13. I love that this game is so damn good, given that it's the Bullet Heaven equivalent of an eight hundred chapter AO3 fanfic. I certainly understand why someone on the receiving end of parasocial stuff would be wary about the VTuber side of things.

  14. It’s popular because
    1) It’s Hololive involving with Hololive Characters.
    2) Waifus
    3) Interesting Mechanics
    4) Tons of Hololive Reference
    5) This game is a lot more polished than any AAA Games.
    4) It keeps updating as long as Hololive have new Talents, This game will add them as a Character even the Graduated ones.
    6) Free To Play and no Micro transactions
    7) Like Vampire Survival, it’s actually quite addictive NGL
    8) Hololive Talents themselves also playing this game because this is one of the best Hololive Games we have.
    9) Rabbit Hole
    10) Warcrime

  15. Hololive is more of an entertainment company than an Idol company in terms of how they operate so most of negative stuff about the industry doesn't really apply to them. Especially on the EN branch where they're basically just like any other streamer, just with an anime model.

  16. I'd say its more recommended to upgrade items/weapons that aren't maxed out on anvils first rather than going straight for upgrading already maxed out weapons. As it helps you get collabs faster and I believe upgrading weapons and item doesn't cost anything until they are maxed out. Also to unlock certain weapons/items that you need for Collabs (like the bouncy ball, idol song, x-potato etc) you need to survive 10 minutes with certain characters or complete certain achievements.

Also with the cutting board and any collab that involves it theres a hidden mechanic where for characters that are designated as flat (2 that you have unlocked being Ina and Gura) the weapon/collab is 30% bigger than normal, and deals 30% more damage
