  3. great story., enjoyed every bit of it. One of the human picking up a dead space marine’s bolter however, caught my attention. I thought no human can hold and fire a space marine bolter, that the recoil alone would blast a human body to bits. there are bolter variants designed for human hands, instead.

  7. I've only been more than aware of WH40K for about a year now; initially catching an interesting looking lore video that led to more, that lead to a few books, etc.
    I started by just reading the Space Marine novels, like most I'd wager. However I've come to prefer the stories focusing on the "normal" humans far more over the last few months, 90% of them right here as a matter of fact.
    It might just be that I've preferred the writers of the various books I've read or listened to up to now and I might find some that write books on the Astartis that I really like at some point. The Space Marines are cool, but there's a bit of sameness to them, especially in the Horus heresy books I've read. They're supposed to be almost supernaturally intelligent, but clearly they didn't worry too much about emotional intelligence. As a result, when it comes to interaction with humans they tend to be like brutes; not really giving too much thought before going all "hulk smash" on everything.
