Hit The Bar (downunder) – we don't even make it to Joel Osteen's sermon!!!

Part 1 of 2.
In this video we review Joel Osteen – he is quite a superstar in Christian church circles, surely a contradiction in terms(?). He’s also making waves in mainstream media, and it shows.

Our man, Phill, has a “cold-listen” to his pre-sermon warm-up to review what is going on in “real-time” – just like as if you were listening in the church service. It’s quite a wind up that the crowd is taken through prior to the sermon.

  1. My father used to sing 'The Narcissist's Song' to people who loved themselves. I think of this song whenever I see these people. "I love me. I think I'm grand. I go to the movies and I hold my hand. I put my arm around my waist. When I get fresh, I slap my face."🤣

  2. Paul said that the Spirit assisted the church with their infirmities, and the Spirit was sent to change the Old covenant body of weakness into the New Covenant body of power. 2 Corinthians 3:18.

  3. Speaking stuff over people is weird and unbiblical. Positive affirmations and declaration is not what Jesus Christ taught. He told the first century disciples they would die. Matthew 23:31-36

  5. "They're a happy cult" Sure enough, but so were The Stepford Wives. Unfortunately, Osteen is in Houston. I promise, we do have some really good churches here.

  6. Ipswich, Mass campus here 🙋🏼‍♀️😁 I absolutely must comment on Joel Osteen's physical posture during that 'prayer': for example, at 21:02, he has his arms outstretched and when there are camera shots from way back, he looks like he's immitating Christ on the cross. I'm not implying that's what he is doing, but the appearance, along with that pagan incantation leaves me creeped out. Is it a long shot to say it borders on blasphemy?
