The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, which was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “The Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the people of France after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The Generalate of the Congregation is located in Auburn, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the United States and other countries when called upon. The Congregation also staffs The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion in Green Bay, WI, and two rural parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky.

  1. Right now it seems, my vocation is to care for my elderly mother with dementia. I know nothing beyond that. I attempted to become a permanent Deacon a couple of years ago but was rejected by my local Diaconate. I have no clear picture of my future.

THEY SAID THAT A PIECE OF METAL AND A PIECE OF CLOTH WILL NOT SAVE ANYBODY.THE ROSARY ,THE SCAPULAR ETC.ARE PART OF OUR
TRADITIONAL FAITH AND DEVOTIONS. JUST,PRAY ,PRAY PRAY.

Father where were our shepherds during COVID , where were our shepherds when the government shut our church doors and then you enforced the mask mandates as if we were animals ,and then to add insult to injury your church ushers became little tyrant’s removing those who would not comply you were awful ,we deserve an apology.

  4. I do go to church ⛪ to Mass, I watch the Traditional Latin Mass from Chicago from John Cantious church, I listen to church in YouTube channels. I do not watch television, I watch Priests on YouTube such as Father Robert Altier, Father Jeffrey Kirby, Father James Mawdsley, Father Mike O'Connor, and so many other faithful Priests.
I am in love with The Traditional Latin Mass only. Now I am suffering thanks to Pope Francis and my Bishop Milton Gregory who canceled The Traditional Latin Mass.

  5. Fantastic homily ✝️ all the way around, I live in Arizona and can testify. You can see all the pictures of the Grand Canyon you want, but nothing prepares you for standing on the rim. On another note, I just came into the church last year after being raised Lutheran and spending decades in the Baptist Church. It was exactly my misconception about all the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith and realization that you could never get more intimate with Jesus than the most holy Eucharist 🙌🏻 you are 100% right… Protestants are flocking to the Catholic Church when they realize ✝️ and the only people I have ever known who leave the catholic Church are for exactly that reason… if you’re not familiar, praise God for father John Ricardo – the rescue Project and ACTSXXIX ministries. Listening to him allowed the scales to fall off my eyes and recognize the fullness and beauty of the faith. So good, and humbling to be home in the Catholic Church finally at age 51 ❤ suddenly I don’t know how I ever lived without daily mass, final note… I am from Rochester, New York and my brother is a professor at Syracuse ❤

  6. I have St Alphonsus abridged sermons for every Sunday of the year which is excellent and the reason I subscribe to your channel….the homilies I hear from your priests are right up there with those of St Alphonsus…. thank you for your faithful words

  7. The sheep are leaving because the church was willing to shut itself down because it was classified as "non essential". Then the pope confused everyone by blessing same sex couples. Hope the light of Christ continues to shine in the dark.

  9. Thank you, Fr. David, for the pure and holy homily that’s profoundly convincing and touching the depths of one’s soul. Jesus is truly our Good Shepherd and life of salvation because we are feed by His own body, blood, soul and divinity. Nothing is lacking but our total surrender, faithfulness and trust to be united to Him for eternity.

  10. Yes, I agree we need to have RELATIONSHIP with our Lord Jesus Christ by involving Him daily in our lives, talk to Him like we do to our parents & children. Read His WORD (Bible) as our guide in life. ”God's word is alive and powerful! It is sharper than any double-edged sword. His word can cut through our spirits and souls and through our joints and marrow, until it discovers the desires and thoughts of our hearts.“
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ ‭

  11. I went to church all my life. Catechism. Etc etc. but I didn’t understand what I was taught. The priests and the catechists only plant seeds. Everybody has a different route. Mine was rock bottom. The Holy Spirit watered those latent seeds and the true knowledge of what was seeded in my mind came to fruition Thank God the Protestants and cults didn’t steal my soul

  12. The Pentecostal Church is drawing in teenagers & going to the public schools requesting them to come to the church to find Jesus, hence we are losing many of our youth by not drawing them into the Catholic faith. The Catholic Church has the real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Sacrament of the Body & Blood of Christ as Jesus proclaimed. Let us welcome our youth when we see them attending Mass. Thank you Father.
