Here are 4 Great "Dueling Arenas" in Elden Ring (New PvP Hotspots?)

I went on a search for 1v1 PvP spots that were more tight and fair of an arena than the current grazing pasture that is The First Step, and I ended up with four that I would personally recommend for y’all.

Want to find like-minded PvP nerds in Elden Ring? Look no further, there is an Elden Ring PvP discord server just for that. If y’all do go there, I only ask that you keep it clean, keep it respectful, and have fun! → https://discord.gg/AuaJ7grsfW

  1. Which of the four do you enjoy the most? Let me know!

    OR

Do you have an idea for a dueling spot of your own? Here are some questions for you to consider if you do:
How big or small is the dueling arena? Is it enclosed or have environmental hazards (gravity, water, enemies)? How quickly can you get to the 1v1 spot from a grace site? Is there an accessible summoning pool nearby?

Thank you for watching and if you comment, thank you for continuing the discussion.

  2. fromsoft should have made the place in the roundtable hold where you get the taunters tongue the dueling area, quite alot of space, very easily accesible, and it just seems like it was meant for dueling. But sadly they made it so you cant place signs there, big missed oportunity imo

  3. You know is that why I see heavy multiplayer activity near one of the squares near the gate ruins of Limgrave? I kinda figured because by the looks of the symbol it looks hella busy xD

  4. i think that the "sewer circle" would be the best by far, some of the arenas seem too small for battling with/against mages or weapons with massive aoe like the dragon spells or things like rhdans paired great swords, the best example would be turtle shield tower or the limgrave square where the aoe of weapons or spells would be annoying for viewers of the fight IE the host or other reds. but also the dragon spells break the fight either being crippled or amped by the positioning giving them guaranteed hits or instant punishment with the sewer circle its more skill reliant as opposed to spamming spells/ weapons with huge aoe

  5. I've been getting a lot of invasions and pvp on the hill and bridge outside the beast clergyman. I'm new to souls pvp after watching this video I realise people are wanting me to go to the bridge

  6. My main issue with the sewer lies with how some spells act on certain terrain. Namely, Beast Claw does not work in water afaik and lightning spells gain a bigger AoE when touching water.

The bridge in Volcano Manor seems like the best spot imo, since it's a fair, flat arena. Other than that, the Main Raya Lucaria Gate and Heart of Aeonia are nice circular areas

  7. What about Main Academy Gate outside Raya Lucaria? It's a circular area, feels roughly as big as the platform outside Pontiff's room. Grace in the middle of the room, and it's outside so the lighting is better than that sewer. Also it's flat.
    No summoning pool though.

so you CAN open that church? how? i literally looked everywhere for two hours for the entrance after clearing the whole area(except the dragon(?) boss below, i just forgot about that lol)
literally scoured through the entire town and couldn't get inside that damn church…

  9. Sorry If this is a dumb question but do spirit summon upgrades affect matchmaking. I know you can’t use them in multiplayer but would it have any affect? If anyone could provide and answer please let me know.

  10. I noticed that there's an area in Redmane Castle with a bunch of bloodstains… I realized it was cus people are using it for dueling.

Also, the place where you meet Selen as a merchant.

  11. all of these arena's are incredibly small in a game where dragon incantations hit for 1.2k and can cover these entire rooms. Idk the open fields are fine imo not much dif then the arena's in dark souls 3 those were quite spacious. I get wanting some way to avoid people just constantly running away but if people just sever themselves or the invaders when that occurs the behavior will end real quick. never before have we been able to send invaders/ourselves home so quick.

  12. I had an idea too! The beginning of Raya Lucaria academy (right when you go through either of the gates with the glintstone key) is a perfectly round area, with an effigy right next to it, good lighting, and a site of grace right in the middle. If you stand right inside the building, you get a good wide look of the whole area!

Edit: "Main Academy Gate", is the one. It's like the sewers, but not wet.

  13. Phuck it, make that bridge area in the Raya Academy that leads not to (immediate) death, but death by horrible finger spider monsters down below. It's long, narrow, and dramatic.

  14. The steps in the Sewers mess up many groundbased AoEs(like hoarfrost stomp), but the bridge looks perfect. Natural boundries, close, good lighting, no enemies, nice spectator spots. Good stuff.
