These videos can hopefully be used as a resource for new and existing bass players, and a checkpoint for me to see my progress as a bass player. Feel free to shoot me an email about any questions or tone guides at [email protected]
Soon i’ll start rolling out tone guides for all of the songs that we play frequently
SELF REFLECTION:
Not my best work, I lost my spot on the click on a few occasions, and had bad luck on a faulty strap pin flying off, but was able to gracefully handle that mistake. Lesson learned today is to play off your mistakes in the smoothest way possible and learn from them.
TEAM REFLECTION:
We had a minor Ableton hiccup in the stems which can be heard as a little squeak in the video before the bridge, offsetting the click temporarily but the whole team was able to handle it gracefully and get right back on track with no sweat. Room was full of energy and the energy of the stage presences brought even more energy into the room. Pocket was tight and vocals were clear. Amazing team today, everyone put in their prep time and were able to make quick adjustments to fill in space from the great Music Direction today and setup everything for how great worship went. Lots of brand new students were introduced to the High School Experience and worship was there to show. Everything behind the scenes was great as always, and the mix on audio and lighting was as good as always.
