Poor guy. Love is a life raft that can save you from urself when ur slipping away in drugs or drinking.
Losing Demry did kill a huge part of him. You don't get past it. You learn to live in the new dark empty world.
You usually dont make it out of the darkness.
Layne deserved a queen. That's all I have to say.
It's sad to hear that he wanted a family. It's more of what could have been…thanks for sharing this.
Is there any actual proof this woman was even with Layne? Or is this in her fantasy lol? I'd like to see proof. Its nice to think he had company but this is all her statements only without a drop of proof. Nobody followed the two of them into their bedroom. It's just a known fact that heroin addicted men have no libido or desire for intimacy in general. I dont like how snotty and condescending this woman comes across. Shes rather average for Laynes attractiveness. Layne could do way better. And nobody was really much around his condo …so I find her rudeness towards Layne astonishing as well as her boring vibe. It would have been amazing if he had met a great painter, writer or musician.

Gotta say this, for a "good friend ", she sure didn't have a problem making him out to be kind of a fool — in print. If she'd cared that much, she would have refrained from adding to the "Layne = junkie" chorus. That man could trust no-one, and I believe that's one of the things that contributed to him dying in seclusion in the extremely sad way he did. It would be nice if, just once someone talked about stuff like– influences on Staley's vocal styings and techniques? What was going on with the constantly morphing stage presence/ persona? Literary influences?

IMO, I found their relationship to be very toxic and full of negative energy.. from what I’ve read.
But just like any unhealthy relationship, both parties are usually at fault.

Someone should've busted in, sectioned him, and got him in a detox, then rehab and give him an ultimatum this or jail. Jail cleaned my 87 lb ass up in 6 and a half mos. Got my hep c taken care of, gained 60 lbs then more when I got out. Layne needed tough love
