Harvesting & Cooking BreadFruit In The Philippines! (Capul Island Local Delicacy)

Breadfruitโ€ฆ A fruit you need to cook! Yes, as strange as it sounds this local fruit from Capul Island has been a local favourite for a incredibly long time. Picked straight from the tree, we go into the home of one of the locals and cook this bad boy up! A fruit you need to cook.. Hope you enjoy.

  1. You had some coconuts on the barangay ๐Ÿฅฅ๐Ÿฅฅ๐Ÿฅฅ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ’ง

And you had some breadfruit they call it breadfruit because it is bland and it taste like a bread or a taro or cassava or a potato or a sweet potato ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆโžก๏ธ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿฅ”

And we put coconut milk on it to boil it ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿฅฅ๐Ÿฅ›

And put some salt and sugar ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿง‚๐Ÿถ

And it is the first time that you saw a flat sea floor on the beach ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–โ›ฑ

  3. Wow….My heart was HUGE and pounding with joy and the "sweaty eyes" of love and wonder within 1 minute of this video. Capul is, indeed, Magical, gorgeous and obviously full of loving humans!!! Kulas and Therine at the lighthouse did the same!!! And remembering the love at the Bakery, inn, sari sari store and the salon…. What a wonderful place!!! Better than a dream!!!!!!!!!!

  8. I remember when I was young decades and decades ago, my mother used to cook it with sugar till it dry out in the pan or with coconut milk and pork. We call it Rimas in Bataan.

  9. I miss eating boiled kulo dipped in to kamay kinugay. I havenโ€™t had it for years. Sad to say itโ€™s one tree thatโ€™s rapidly disappearing from our garden. I hope theyโ€™ll find a way to preserve the species
