I love this song because I am a survivor of domestic and sexual abuse. My abuser also mentally abused me. I called the cops one night when he held me, hostage, in a bathroom and they did nothing to him. I had marks around my neck where he would choke me. I ended up leaving him with the help of my best guy friend in the whole world just like the song. Now 8 years later that guy is my soul mate. I thank him every day for saving me.
