  1. People should not be blinded because they love Hamza Yusuf speak so eloquently . He did suggest that a temple could be built on the complex of masjid al Aqsa and he did suggest we should suffer in silence because Israel would listen anyway.

  2. Someone please explain this. Do not worship someone because they are a scholar. There are hypocrites among us even at the highest helms. For you fools who follow blindly question as to why he is on the agenda contributor list of the WEF an organization of demons from all around the world.

  3. Assallamalakum this Hammza yusuf is an arse licker of western imperialists .
The Quran instructs Muslims to “Be maintainers of justice and bearers of true witness for Allah, even if it (the truth) goes against your own selves or parents or relatives or someone who is rich or poor.” Thus, it is incumbent on Muslims to speak out against Yusuf

  4. Well, the oppressors are not going to change their oppression because they have a clear vision to opress. And so if we plan according to what they plan we are just in a reactive mode. And yes islam gives so much importance to Patience. But anything that feeds into the plan of oppressors is not part of our teaching and eeman

  5. Hamza is too 'peaceful'. He is good at teaching Arabic and basic religious principles, but I wouldn't trust him to handle real struggles, wars, or political matters. He seems unable to strongly condemn Zionists and has barely spoken out for Free Palestine. He's too weak when it's time to speak up boldly. Your ancestors weren't Muslims, and that's a key difference between Muslims and others. Muslims view martyrdom for the sake of Allah as the ultimate reward. Hamza, please do us a favor and stay quiet.

    Selamun Aleykum,

Dear respected Brothers and Sisters of the Muslim Ummah and indeed of Humanity.

We are potentially standing on the doorstep of the Malhama… and we can all see and feel that "something" is very very different in the World and far more sinister…

The time has come for all of us regardless of our similarities or differences to be united under One Flag…and that One Flag is the Flag of Imam Mahdi(as). Wherever you are – regardless of your circumstances, Man or Woman – I urge all of us to give our Bay'ah ( Pledge of Allegiance ) to Imam Mahdi(as) and come under His(as) Flag. We are not speaking of those who have popped up in recent years on social media making claims…Imam Mahdi(as) is Allah(swt)'s divine proof. If we do not work to come together and work to build unity under Him(as) and work to build the necessary infrastructure to support Him(as), then why should His(as) Zuhoor happen and how then can we be of any real use in throwing off the yoke of oppression not only for Palestine, but everywhere else as well…

Wherever you are in open or in secret, give Him(as) your Bay'ah.

As you all can well sense the matter of Palestine is much greater far reaching than Palestine itself.

  7. Let those who would sacrifice this life for the Hereafter fight in the cause of Allah. And whoever fights in Allah’s cause—whether they achieve martyrdom or victory—We will honour them with a great reward.

  8. And what is it with you? You do not fight in the cause of Allah and for oppressed men, women, and children who cry out, “Our Lord! Deliver us from this land of oppressors! Appoint for us a saviour; appoint for us a helper—all by Your grace.”
    Quran 4:75 – An-Nisa

  9. SubhanAllah looks like he could not suffer in silence himself after being protested against, he had to have the last word. What can one say? Do not give advice which you yourself are not capable of doing.

  11. I find the use of this term coined in 1787, to "suffer in silence, " at this time and with regards to the Gaza and the West Bank genocide, indefensible.

With his eloquence and deep learning, I would have expected better from him.

Jewish scholars like Norman Finkelstein, Noam Chomsky and Mike Peled have been more factual and on point but we expect a traditional Islamic perspective from him, not this.

He later said something about taking a long view and compared their struggle to the 800-year English occupation of Ireland as if their way is an example for us.

What's obvious to everyone is whether the Palestinians do or do not defend themselves, Israel intends genocide; slowly by silent strangulation or quickly by false flag atrocity propaganda to justify bombing innocent people.
Both methods require the death of Palestinian media and the stranglehold control of Western media to silence and remove Palestinians' suffering and humanity from being seen… To suffer in silence, exactly what the zionist would want and what journalists like Chris Hedges went out to stop.

    Disappointing.

  13. Some may say, this is polite white middle class behaviour from Hamza Yusuf. “I have
Palestinian friends”, “Look what I’ve done for this Gazzan man.” You hear this from people who aren’t racists per se but they’re complicit in it and they offer such excuses.

I don’t mind people having a genuine and well informed different strategy for Palestinians or for any place really.

But, when you have allied with people who support normalisation, when the whole world is on one side with a clear genocide taking place, you lose trust of the people because they can’t tell whether thats you speaking or your friends in high places speaking….

Those blind supporters of HY, he’s right, whether he’s right or wrong should remember the Hadith of helping your brother when is wronged or he is committing a wrong. And him being wrong on this doesn’t take away his sheikh status and benefitting from his other knowledge.

  14. The sheikh shouldn’t have insulted them with the uncles that you don’t want to come to the holiday comment. That was all ego and very condescending. We love all our brothers and sisters and you can’t say they aren’t welcome. Control your nafs.

  15. I’m sorry; sheikh you are coming of as condescending and arrogant. You are insulting our brothers by referring to them as “those uncles that you don’t want to come to the holiday but they do anyways.” Also you keep mentioning yourself and and making it about you. I’m not used to you acting like this so please get yourself in check because so many people look up to you.

  16. I’ve loved sheikh Hamza for decades and still do , but I’m disappointed in his speech and his reaction to those brothers and sisters . He is showing too much ego and is coming off as elitist and condescending in my humble opinion. I also notice most of the followers of him and the other sufis are getting more extreme with their treatment of fellow Muslims. To the point it’s becoming cringe and uncomfortable to be around. Many of them treat non believers and other religions so nice but label any Muslims who don’t follow their exact way as wahabi and Salafi and the act like they are all ignorant and beneath them . I’ve seen it way too often.

  17. If you have Hikama in your heart, only then will you stop criticising Hamza Yusuf and only then will you realise what his words meant. Surely you should not take things to literal and start insulting him!

  18. He said he is on Creed of tahawi, madhab maalik , but then said “believe in …. “ the other Shiekh. We don’t believe in any shiekh .. they were only people. It’s not from our faith to believe in some people they way he said it .

  19. Let me point to a serious issue :
How difficult is it to have 200 YouTube accounts run by 2 or 10 soldiers of a particular military group or unit in the Israeli army to affect the public opinion in the comments section?

Let them be 500 soldiers talking multiple languages, with every account pretending to be someone of a particular background and personality. E.g. might be religious, atheist, resistance supporter, victim, Evangelist, Muslim, average citizen, just absolutely anything. They might pretend to be opponents in politics and social views or anything. One of them might provoke a rage. This way they can drive a reaction and orient the public opinion either to make a conflict, divert attention away from massacres, weaken the intrinsic reaction, leveraging side issues, manipulating priorities, deepening loyalty to bad institutions, causing disturbance among/ between religious/ ethnic groups, spreading rumors, character assassination…

So how to know the truth? Follow your heart not your desire! Your heart is on the opposite side of the colonialists' interests who don't care about you, absolutely whoever you were.

Please share and help spread the word if you like the idea.

  20. I have always loved Hamza Yusef but i am really chocked about many of his statements.
Not only to suffer in silence.
Not only to the Zionist building a temple on or besides al aqsa.
Not only that american law is the sharia and that he had travelled the whole world and that we should be very pleased about america and there laws.
And that muslims should not work for a khilafa and not try to establish the shariah where we can.
I am going actually beginning to be very worried about muslims learning islam from him. Who is he and what is his aqeeda? He begins to scare me.
Islam is not a pacifist religion.
    Everyone knows that.
I dont mean to insult anybody or to make any division here but i really want us to be aware. And i would love to hear your opinion because we should be awake.
There is a reason that our ummah is suffering and nothing is changing. Maybe we are lulled to sleep by people like Hamza Yussu with his pacifist ideas and abrahamic i dont know what.

  22. Hamza Yusuf has failed to understand the Quran and now misguiding the Muslims because the type of Islam he s teaching is totally goes with liberal Muslims. Prophet Muhammad Peace e upon Him was he most humble and peace loving man on the face of the earth but he led big battles and liberated people and implemented the Sharia. Sahabas followed him after the died and conquered continents. They Faught the kuffars just for abducting one Muslim. May Allah give you the knowledge about the true meaning of Quran/Islam.

  23. Why did he need to come out and defend what he said? He could have suffered in silence. He came out because he has a platform to do so. Suffer in silence harm done to you personally and take recourse to Allah’s justice. However when you see injustice done to another human being you and I have no option to silence. According to our ability we are required to respond to a situation of injustice.
