Okay. I am getting back into wearing makeup after two + years. I am sixty and it is not so simple anymore. I would like to learn more about makeup brushes and how and what to use where.
Great tip about translucent powder on back of lashes to stop transfer. Every mascara I use always transfers on me so I will definitely be trying this out. Happy Christmas xxx

Loved the Mac Stack…at first. Looked great! But if you cry, sweat or its just plain humid, it ends up under the eyes for me. Had to return it!

I spent heaps on a Danessa Myricks eye shadow base and it was so oily! Very disappointed. My holy grail is hands down Mac Paint pot in painterly. I have tried P Louise and I like Mac better. Beauty Creations is a pretty good dupe for P Louise

A UK brand Peaches and Cream make SUPERB eyeliners. I have a set called the eyeroglyphic set. They also make beautiful creamy lip liners
I use beauty pies the perfect waterproof mascara. It comes off easily with Nivea double effect waterproof eye make up remover. Around £4-7
Hi Jemma please try the Milanie eyeshadow primer. I personally don't like the Natash denonal glam pallet. I have it and I'm thinking of declutering it

The NARS eye shadow primer is amaze but the packaging gets super mucky after 5 seconds…product is amaze though. Also, the NYX HD eye primer is fab!

Fav eye base… Tarte Shape Tape concealer. Little goes a long way! It’s so good. Just set with powder.
I like the revolution ultimate eye base eye primer. It's £5 and comes in 3 shades. A tiny dot does both eyes so it's lasted ages and I've plenty left still! I've got very similar colouring to you and have the light one. It is very light coloured but not so light that I ever think twice about using it. I'm considering trying the medium though. It may be that it isn't suitable for darker skin tones though Xx

BEST ever waterproof mascara remover is Lancome Bi-Facil. I've used this for many many years and have tried other brands. I always come back to Lancome Bi-Facil because it totally and easily removes your waterproof makeup. I use this with a Shiseido cotton pad.
