1980. Lou runs a gym in the godforsaken American wilderness. She has been estranged from her father, a local crime boss, for years and worries about her sister, whose husband is a regular “fistfighter”. One day, the girl falls in love at first sight with a bodybuilder named Jackie, who stops in her town on her way to a championship in Vegas. The feelings are mutual, the girls begin to live together, but when Lou’s brother-in-law once again oversteps all boundaries, it sets off a chain of unpredictable events.
Love Lies Bleeding is the second movie directed by Rose Glass and starring Kristen Stewart.
